The game does not deserve to continue. EA does not deserve to continue holding the IP for a Star Wars MMO as they just do not put enough love and devotion into it, all they see is the $ $ flashing before their eyes.
I know it's a business but a good business is one that has a lot of nurturing so it developes into something truly great. EA doesn't see it like this and that why SWTOR sucks.

I would love to see EA collapse like thq, it would be for the good of the industry.
i agree totally with this here , game companies need to be held accountable jsut like any other company out there. If you go to a restaurant and the food is bad and the service is terrible you do not go back and could give a crap less if it shuts down or people lose their jobs , yet people on this site live in this blind dellusion that game companies shouldnt have to live by the same standard with the rest of the world.
This is a serious problem to with this site and others that have these derranged blind fans that refuse to let any game have any criticism at all so they can grow and learn from their mistakes before they completely alienate their entire playerbase but those few screaming fans.
EA and Bioware both need to fail and people need to lose their jobs so the hard lessions for the rest of the industry are learned. If you put out something crappy and take full advantage of your playerbase because you have an IP that sells naturally , you should lose your job and company. I can think of tons of companies in this world that did a lot less than EA and bioware did especially EA and are out of business right now. They just continue to make money because people bitch and moan but shell out money anyways lining their pockets because they are so worried about going and doing something else other than playing a video game online.

Spot on pal. and I would pay a monthly Sub for SW open world Mmo again. I play a lot of Free to play games, but put no heart, Funds or long term effort into them. Bring back the good ole Real MMO.
Disney might see the game as a failure and shut it down or upgrade it to something more "family" orientented that will drive the remaining player base away in tears.
A better replacement for it would be Star Trek Online. Ground and Space combat with a over the shoulder shooter mode and player made missions!
I voted no. I agree with the reasoning of the people that said yes, but I don't think the game shutting down completely has to happen for the industry to learn the leasons it needs to learn. SWTOR can't be called a success by any measure even if it stays open- it's up to EA and all the other developers to make these mistakes or not next time.
That said, I do think several of the people in charge of its development who are still around should lose their jobs. I know it sucks to be unemployed, but their mistakes already cost many others their jobs, and that these guys get to stay and that nobody is willing to admit where things went wrong is a clear sign that nothin's been learned from this at EA. And I think the worst thing that could happen is for the game to suddenly become a great scource of profit for EA using their cash shop + DLC + subscriptions + whatever else they can come up with to milk the players dry.
Becuse at this point in time and with their actions it would beneficial for whole genre if it shuts down.
Oh, and btw. it already failed, now its matter of shutting down or continue on minimum workforce.
I was trying to understand the motive as to posts like this, so I went through your forum history and noticed 13+ pages of posts only in these forums. I was expecting to see maybe that you were a fan of some other game. If its already failed, what is the motive of those who only post in one particular forum? What is the interest in only one game that has already failed? I don't get it.

That makes no sense.
