Returning player wondering about the state of classes.
Hello, the last time I played was around Jan 2012. Since SL came out I've been hearing nothing but good things and I've got that itch to play Rift again.
Even in my time playing I had a hard time choosing a class. When I left I had a 50 Rogue, Cleric, Warrior, and 40 mage.
What I'm lacking right now is a sort of Elitiestjerks.com website but for Rift. For those that never played WoW and never used it its a hardcore theorycrafting website that breaks down talents and provides the user with a clear view of how each class is currently doing healing, dps and to some extent tanking wise. Does anyone know if something like this exists for Rift?
I am having a hard time choosing what class I want to main. I am pretty impartial to play style. What I'm looking for is the most desirable class. Which class is needed most in dungeons and raids? I keep hearing rogues are everywhere, and mages and clerics are in demand. I know it varies by server, but I'm looking for different viewpoints.
I've heard PVP is meh, so I'd like to first choose my class based off necessity, then go from there. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
