So i played WWII awhile back. and i did enjoy it, but one reason and i know this isnt very gamer like, but i stopped playing it mainly becuase of how old it was, not on how much i enoyed it, and the graphics where not to hot. But they are re-releasing it and claim to be improving it a great deal, so does anyone think that theres hope for the game to reach the public and get some popularity? or will it drop back down into the target and kmart game shelves, in a heap of sad sad games. yes that was a little out there but ya whats ur view on the game?

    There is hope. It started with only 200 players in its first year. A small 5 person company with no advertising at all. Today, it has over 10,000 player.

    I have played it off and on since it was released and let me tell you one thing: it has improved exponentially! I remember not too long ago I'd wait hours and MAYBE, just MAYBE find a fun battle. Now, with paratroopers, mobile spawns, etc, I am constantly in the thick of huge battles for town after town. And it's only going to get better. They said that they are going to improve graphics even more with the release of Beyond Blitzkrieg (the big update), so I recommend checking it out...

    And about it growing: the free trials have already brought in tons of new recruits and putting it back on shelves should only increase the number of players.

    I have followed this game since the introduction of its concept. Then I got into a closed beta. Boy, was that buggy! The only "fun" thing to do was to drive that german truck being careful not to tip it over "which seemed to happend all the time anyway". So, at the time of its release it practically was unplayable and I felt sorry for the folks paying for that.
    After that I participated in all the free trials and I must admit they made it much,,much better, and despite the 90's graphics, the gameplay is fun nowadays.
    God bless those poor souls paying for the initial release of the unplayable game, so the "future generation" could enjoy the advanced version.

    I think if they updated some of the graphics and got it back in stores they would bring in another few thousand

    Eight minutes? You must have had a 1 Ghz CPU. I load in about 4 seconds.

    Yeah... I load in less than 5 seconds (unless I died far away from where I'm respawning, then only like 15 seconds).
