ok, i played ffxi like few months back just to try it out, i tried many rpgs to find the right one to stay with. i played wow for a few months and im tottaly sick of that game, quest till 60 (and the quests are hella boring to me, not really that rewarding either, few exp and money and ur off on ur next thousant quest) then after all that all it is, is pvp and raiding. pvp is fun for a while but then you want to make an atl and its questing a million times all over again.
well maybe ffxi is no diffrent, but it seems more interesting and the need to get money and stuff (im probably gonna be poor alot) anywho. will try out ffxi for a few months and see what exacly it is what everyone is talking about.
just want to know is there a way to know which servers have lots of people, i really want one with lots obiously so i wouldnt have THAT much of a hard time to find a party.
thx

Wrong on that part. The servers with the most population usually:
1) Has a very bad economy (high prices)
2) Has mostly higher level players, or higher level players starting a mule (alternate character)
It is harder to buy items as a newbie since the economy is probably really bad. If you still want to join a server with lots of people, then the 2 I know that has alot of people would be Fairy and Midgardsormr (spelling probably a little off there).
Edit :: Oh yeah, one reason the high populated servers have less newbies is because you can't choose your server when you first create your character, it's random. It places players in low-mid populated servers more often than high populated servers, to even it out.
your probably right, can anyone recommend good servers....yea i know its random but if u keep making chars and deleting them it changes.
and btw one with LOTS of english speaking people and nice lol, when i was playing, i asked like about 20 diffrent people a simple question on potions and alot of them said they didnt speak english and the others didnt even respond to me when i was like following them just to ask one lil question and someone finally told me when i joined a random party to help me with my quest. i think the question was when i would be able to make potions.
anywho thx again who ever helps me.
lol, I know this is probably a few days later, but I play on Ifrit, and I love it. Most people speak english, and there are tons of nice people. The economy is sorta bad now, but I think you can get through it. Its just a minor case of inflation (ok maybe not minor, but not too bad really) and the lower lvl items cost higher price but so do the other items so it all evens out really...
