I wouldn't say bleeding players, but it's definitely losing them. I'm cancelling my sub because bioware has ignored 240+ tickets about players harrassing, bullying, insulting players off my server while they cuss and talk like sailors in general chat. I guess the bullies will win, but I really don't feel like paying bioware anymore money while they continue to allow such inappropriate and childish behaviour to continue in this game. Shame on you bioware for having zero integrity to enforce your rules. Worst customer service ever.

This was my response to the post above.

You are cancelling a game you like because of bullies??? WOW Are you gonna quit real life because of bullies also. People should be made aware of a function in the game called IGNORE that can be used to silence the bullies and never have to be bothered again.

All the best,
STAR WARS: The Old Republic

Seriously Bioware get your priorities straight.

I got one warning too LOL... I think I used a word trolling... in reply for some particularly nasty thread.

BioWare seems to be very sensitive about words trolling bashing etc... and fans probably get more warnings from forum moderators  then haters /grin

From that time though, I am much more careful in how I word my posts LOL.

You asked someone if they were going to commit suicide... You are probably one of the people that are ruining the game for him, and many others.

I would have given you a warning too

    1. For god's sake mmo gamers, enough with the analogies. They're unnecessary and your comparisons are terrible, dissimilar, and illogical.

    2. To posters feeling the need to state how f2p really isn't f2p: Players understand the concept. You aren't privy to some secret the rest are missing. You're embarrassing yourself.

    3. Yes, Cpt. Obvious, we're not industry experts. Now run along and let the big people use the forums for their purpose.

It's actually a Win for the guy you replied to because he was saying how there was no reprecussions for bullies, and then you bullied him, and you got a warning for it.

    Irony is pretty awesome.

OP, that's nothing compared to EVE online. You'd get a 1 / 3 / 6 month ban for that, depending on whether you had previous bans. And if you said something about the devs, you'd get PERMABAND by their commie ISDs (ISD are the moderators). I suspect CCP (CCP are the devs) are outsorcing ISD to North Korea.

I think your post was a ridiculous over-reaction to what I see in just about every game. You think the community in SWTOR is worse than WOW, or what I saw in AOC, or Aion? The only server I've ever been on that seemed to be under total control at the time was the Landroval RP server in LOTRO...and that was 5 years ago. There is always some idiot in general chat and I agree with Bioware, hit ignore. If you had posted your post in these forums about MMORPG.com and worst customer service, etc, you would have received more than a warning (most likely).

Sorry OP.. I'm not with you..

I saw nothing constructive about your response, and in fact I saw it as you were trying to bully bate him on the forum as well.. PROOVING his point..  I remember back in the day when GM's would give you a time out to reflect upon your community behavior..  I actually agree with the concerned poster.. I wish gaming companies were more aggressive in "time outs" even at the cost of losing those people as customers..

    Happy New Year :)

This was my take on it aswell, everyone is entitled to express a view without fear of others belittling that persons view, wether we agree or not.

+1 you gotta love it when someone gets the completely wrong end of what the OP actually said.

Hint Keithian - read the letters in red, those are from the OP who suggested the Ignore function.

critical threads are just deleted on their forums( at least some of them)

customers are just banned from the same forums,,without giving any reasons

EAware is doing damage control, so they can get the lasat handful of $$, before totally

    abandoning this disaster

sadly,,BOTH the big scifi IPs are F2P zombies now,,SW even in its second attempt

looks like MMOs just doesnt work without elves and dragons

well you get warnings for all kind of stuff on most forums, like here you get banned for saying you dont like wow and it is a worthless game. not saying now that I think so but I prolly get banned anyway for this reply.
  • FdzzaiglFdzzaigl Member UncommonPosts: 2,433

Man, not to step on your toes, but that really is nothing.

I got warnings for far less before launch and back then I was still mostly supportive of the direction they were taking with the game.

A warning is just a warning, must've racked up about 6-7 of them in my time there. Some users had a truckload before they finally got suspended.

Feel free to use my referral link for SW:TOR if you want to test out the game. You'll get some special unlocks!

No that is not correct you get warning or a bann for one post you make you dont build up and gather points for getting banned.

i think i got like 20 warnings and never once banned at least before my sub just ran out.  I got a lot nastier than your post for sure as well.  SWTOR community team is pretty bad about picking who is trolling and who is not in their community. I noticed a lot of people could totally bash the game but say it without cussing or trolling and not get touched for bans but the second someone slams them with an opposite position they would get it deleted. Im pretty sure the community team isnt even reading the threads they are just using word software or people who report posts. At least here they actually go back and read the threads and see if someone is jsut being a jerk off or if they were baited.

Warnings on their forums can come with "infractions",  they don't if it's a first warning or a minor "offence".

As you stack up infraction points you can get banned and after that, permabanned.

    Read their rules :)
