Quite true. We should be reassured then that PFO is to be somewhat of a hybrid. I doubt they would let writers Ed Greenwood (Forgotten Realms), Mike Stackpole (FASA, Mechwarrior), and some nine other talented authors' creative work go to waste. Surely the Emerald Spire dungeon counts as other than pure sandbox? Surely the development of escalating PvE content will not lie fallow and unused. Certainly thirty years of creative development in RPGs will not be tossed aside? That opening on their HR site for another PvE Game Designer is undoubtedly a clue for the discerning.
Still, if you have your mind made up that reality is only as you presumed, there is surely little I can hope to do pointing out perspectives if you insist on keeping eyes closed.

Or we can ignore the fact that the discussion so far has been respectful of others opinions and clean of insults and start taking passive/aggressive shots at each other.
'Sandbox MMO' is a PTSD trigger word for anyone who has the experience to know that anonymous players invariably use a 'sandbox' in the same manner a housecat does.
When your head is stuck in the sand, your ass becomes the only recognizable part of you.
No game is more fun than the one you can't play, and no game is more boring than one which you've become familiar.
How to become a millionaire: Start with a billion dollars and make an MMO.
After reading the interviews, watching the few videos and even trying the envrioment tech demo...I have pledge money to the cause. I am really looking forward to this game. How can we spread the good word about PFO (these acronyms just write themselves)?

There's some things of interest to different people:
1) PnP Pathfinder tie-in stuff
2) The background of the people and goblin works company (& mmorpg backgrounds eg CCP)
3) Sandbox fantasy design
So anyone in any gaming clubs or rpg/mmo/sandbox/pnp forums etc might appreciate taking a look at the ks for any of the above.

The MMOFTW webcast (found on this site) did a segment on PFO. it started around minute #10 and lasted about 15 minutes or so...
They seemed to be a little confused about some items, but both really seemed to want to see the game get funded.
Last day and a half.. 84% there.... It's going to be close.
All time classic MY NEW FAVORITE POST! (Keep laying those bricks)
