Questions about Atlantica Online

Hey, whats up all.
I been wondering about playing this game, Atlantica Online but im not sure if its how people say it is. -_-
I heard many different shit like, "Its like Final Fantasy", "Its not a challenge, its too easy", "Its too long you gotta do to much", and etc. So I am just going to ask is Atlantica Online a good game?

    It's something different as far as MMO's go. I didn't play it for very long but what time I did was pretty neat.

    Last I heard though people were starting to get upset with it's cash shop/late game stuff. I don't really know the details.

    Dude if its your first time playing Atlantica, im saying u will have a blast.I remember first time game was open beta.Itt was so dam confusing from first/interface/the whole world and the gameplay was different from what we used  to.It was amazing.Never had soooo much fun exploring and passing quests as first timer there.It was trully remarkable game.But than game started to die.Graphics aint upgrading/the performance of the game is like shit.No matter what machine u got u wil have fps issues and dnt listen others game is amazing now.If you are first timer give it a shot but since it went on Nexon im not playing it anymore.Still i wil remember the game as the experiance i never had before and i trully wish more and more turn based games be made.Its so easy to socialize there with big/low levels.People answer your questions without husstle it was great time passed.Sry english

    "It's like Final Fantasy" - No. It's more like Ogre Battle.

    "It's not a challenge, its too easy" - I found it to be about right on the challenge meter. Some battles get quite hard and when other mobs add in, it can get hairy. There are, of course, cash shop items that will allow you to plow through just about any enemy you find.

    "It's too long...." - It is quite long (in a good way), but it involves a ton of grinding; epecially if you don't want to spend any money on it.

     

    Bottom line - I enjoyed it while I was there, never even approached level cap (which may not be possible without CS help, not sure). I use to check in at least every couple of months to see how it is, but I haven't looked at it in 6 or 8 months now.

    I want a mmorpg where people have gone through misery, have gone through school stuff and actually have had sex even. -sagil

    hm... i have been playing atlantica since beta  ( with some big breaks ) . i have to say that there are lots of things to do , some challenging , some other just fun . thing is , like many games , real action begins after lvl 100 ( which took me quite a bit to reach ).Also , the cash shop has more and more stuff that can make your hero overpowered....fortunately , if you learn the mechanics of the game well , you could be getting the same gear without paying any real money.Last but not least , the community is very friendly and helping.

    so...i would say  that you have to try it if  you like turn based games and have free time :)

    This was one of my all time favourite games. Very friendly people, plenty to do and a change from normal type of MMO's. The cash shop is brutal however and getting to someplaces can be a long boring process without a teleport licence. For a first timer I am sure you will have plenty of fun with this game. I keep going back to it and currently have  a level 120 (stopped levelling it until all mercs catch up). 

    Also you will be invited into a guild (and nation) very quickly and all guilds I have been in have been very friendly and helpful. If I wasnt so busy at moment I would head back in again, you got me wanting to play it now :)
