Can someone please tell me how to open ports one a Windows 98? I need to open port 7171 for my friend so he can play tibia.

It's not the OS that matters it's the type of router. I don't know what one yours is, but i'll tell you the way I do it with mine (most others can do it this way too).
Go into run>cmd
Then type "Ipconfig"
Type your default gateway into your internet browser, and (hopefully) your settings will pop up.
