MMO veteran looking for a new game :)

destro521destro521 Member Posts: 48

Hey guys! im just here to look for a new MMORPG to play. I have played many mmo's and i have found many things i have liked about each game such as: Housing systems like runes of magic.

i dont mind combat systems like in WoW but i also like the innovative perspective some developers are bringing to this industry.

Such as Guild Wars 2 and Tera. One thing i look for most in MMO's are the graphics ( i know i shouldn't ) but i dont mind dated graphics or anime-style Art styles. i have played many games such as Eudemons, Dragon oath, Conquer, Perfect World, Aika, Forsaken World, Fiesta, EVE, War thunder and many... many others but im looking for something fun with many different features like pets and housing and im not too concerned with PVP because i like to not take my games too seriously.

Over the past few years i have participated in many beta tests such as the new War Thunder which is great and i suggest all of you try it out but also games like Warframe and other tests such as heroes and generals were also good.

I always check my emails every day to check the MMORPG.com newsletter to see if there is any game reviews or previews i can read/watch and always check the giveaways for some new betas :)

i have also played MOBA games such as SMITE and League of Legends and enjoyed them but my team i had played with took it way too seriously and it put me off league of legends.

I am willing to try out new genres because i dont mind what type of mmo i play so please feel free to suggest any mmorpg that you find fun or interesting and ill check them out :D

If the latest graphics are important that pretty much just leaves you with TERA, GW2 and TSW.

A bunch of new games are coming out soon that you might like - Neverwinter, Blade and Soul. Wildstar, The Elder Scrolls Online

Games that I've found to be graphically impressive in some ways:

Aion, AOC, TSW, LOTRO (scenics), Vindictus, PS2, GW2, Fallen Earth (scenics), STO (space flight), TERA, and FFXIV.  Somewhat older but still worthy of mention, Ryzom, GW, and Vanguard.

Those cover a pretty wide range of gameplay.

i would try some of the more or less classics:

vanguard (has playerbuild housing and ships, great world,  interesting classes like bard (create own spells), necromancer (create own minions), disciple (melee healer (needs to hit enemy to heal)) etc), features like diplomacy (card game tied to dialog system), interesting fishing, harvesting and nontrivial crafting as separate spheres of advancement etc.)

lotro (great world and lore (at least if tou are tolkien fan :) ), great world graphics, housing with is premade, but you can fill it with many decorations and trophys, mounted combat in rohan, legendary weapons which you level like character etc.)

eq2 (really huge world with a lot of quests, collectibles, features etc., nontrivial crafting, premade housing with HUGE amount of items you can put in, and probably many other features, since i didnt play eq2 for years :) )

I'm in the same boat as you destro521. I have a couple of weeks before course work starts and looking for an MMO to play. So far I'm looking at Everquest 2. I use to play The Secret World since beta, bought the life time sub, went full on got my 10.4 sets completed everything missions, lore, achievements (rare spawns) etc, just bored in TSW atm. I was also thinking of trying Anarchy Online again. I played it back in 2004-2005 but I loged on to a free account and it seems well rather dead at the moment except for people standing around afk in a city.
