Playstation 4 to be announced by or at E3 -Dust 514 dead before arrival?

Guess they shouldn't have made DUST 514 a PS3 exclusive.
I feel so bad for CCP, trying to make a game for a very outdated console. Too bad it had to be an exclusive to PS3. How are they expected to make any money, if its limited to a single console that will very soon be out of date? They would have had better luck making it for PC, and then being able to port it to PS4 or/and Xbox.
Dust 514 looks like a lot of fun too. But when I play FPS games...I either want the FPS game on Xbox360 (I find FPS games on Xbox WAY better than on Playstation)...or on PC.
What does the PS4 mean however for Dust 514? Dust 514 may see some sales, but as soon as PS4 is out...what then?

They stopped making the PS2 last month, yes PS2,it was still outselling the PS3 in some financial quarters as late as 2009.
They will be making PS3 games for many years to come.
A free shooter is probably exactly what a PS3 owner who hasn't got the money to buy a PS4 needs.

It's a free to download game that will be easily portable to the PS4. And as said above, just because the PS4 is announced, that doesn't mean every PS3 disappears off the face of the earth or that their owners stop buying games for them.
Anyway, sorry for spoiling your doomfest. Carry on spouting off about things you don't know about you obvious astroturfer.

Funny how when a console gets updated some games can be played on the new one?
Like how I can play Halo 2 on my Xbox 360 still. Or how my gameboy games worked on a gameboy color. How gamecube games worked with Wii. How even the Playstation 3 had backwards compatibility at one point.
Hell, I've even played the N64 Perfect Dark on my Xbox 360 as an arcade title.
We all have preferences, that doesn't mean preferences that differ from yours won't be profitable.
So please tell me more about how CCP won't be able to get their game onto a new console.
Was there an article somewhere where CCP said they weren't working on or going to work on a PS4 version?
PS2 came out in 2000. It was discontinued last week. The PS2's top selling game was GTA (17million copies) in 2009, almost three years after the release of PS3. Was there an article that indicated the PS3 would be abandoned, unsupported or discontinued in the next decade or even the next three or four years?
Was there an article or announcement from Sony or CCP that prompted this post or just a knee-jerk doom kinda thing?

As far as I know, no one is allowed to talk about 'PS4 / Xbox720' (or w/e these consoles will be called) so i doubt CCP said they aren't working on the 'PS4'. :P
Sony is funding Dust 514 so one assumes sound business plan are put in place.
Course that means Dust 514 is PS3 only since Sony doesn't have a sound business plan. I kid, I kid. :P
