Java still being hacked?

Tried to log into my Runescape account that I started a week ago, I was welcomed by the error message that Java wasn't found on the computer and please download. I had forgotten that I disabled all Java on my computer. Have you guys heard anything else about the warning? Is Runescape and other Java based site forever off limits if I want to protect my computer??

They claimed to have fixed the vulnerability..

Seeing how Oracle runs java.. i wouldn't trust them.

Being exploited again. To be honest just uninstall it if you dont have anything that requires it or at very least disable the web plugin for it. I have not had java running on any of my systems for years now.

When Java is no longer used then Java will no longer be hacked.
