2 questions..
Is this is right that their so called open world pvp is basicly an area in middle map? much like WvW in gw2
Basicly resctricting the factions pvp in area, and prolly a cap on the amount of players??
second:
and i can''t find anything about this.. aim to shoot or tab target crap?
Comments
PvP is in cyrodiil only and yes its aim and shoot but with a soft lock, you can use tab to select a specific target if theres a lot stacked ontop of each other, but if you tab taget someone and aim your reticle at someone else who isnt stacked you will hit where you aim
hmm this is intresting..
So bunch of people humping eachother in small area its possible to cycle through them when you aim.. but you still need to aim then.. ok..
letdown is area pvp.. FCK why doesn''t any company understand the open world pvp structure..
You could always go to http://www.elderscrollsonline.com/en/ and look for the answers there instead of asking on a forum. But that is always too much to ask of people to actually look stuff up themselves.
Its not, he is just getting information from forums and has no idea about the game.
well i did read their website..
but all i see is info about lore and shit..
or did missed something?
Nah their webby is a bit rubbish for game mechanic info atm, the game isnt in full beta yet so they more than likely wont put stuff on their site until its set in stone.
Tamrielfoundry.com is a good site for info, their decelopement faq section is pure awsome imho
Well if you can't find it, its not been released yet. So you have to wait like everyone else. There are columns on this site about the combat so you obviously havent looked that hard for information. They still havent released any information about ranged combat and how it will work, so its more waiting.
According to people who have actually played the pre alpha game at the press invite thing in Oct of last year, pretty much all of them say it plays like a ES game.
I don't get it, or like it either OP. I get the feeling I'm gonna love the combat, and itemization, but I'm going to be bored to tears after 3-5 weeks of heavy cyrodill play. Persistant or not, it's still just a big battle ground.
I hope I'm wrong, and it's the most dynamic pvp playground ever made, because If pvprs absolutely love the combat, skills, and itemization, but have nothing to do with or only one thing to do with the cool stuff, it wont end pretty. It will start with people asking for more things to do, and end 3 months later with outrage born out of frustration.
I loved swtor combat and resouce system, but was bored out of my mind after 2 1/2 months of Huttball even though I think Huttball is the second greates battleground ever made next to Altrec Valley. In TSW I adored the skill system. I would spend a couple hours a day just making builds, but all I had was a moshpit, Stonehenge and a circle zerg, Fusang that both had the same "ideal" type build. Why you give me all this goodness Funcom, but nowhere to use it!?!?
uhg sorry about the rant, but I'm really worried about pvprs being limited to one form of content.
Your comparing apples to roast beef tbh.
Your comparing a small instanced pvp map that lasts 10 mins to a persistant map thats the size of tes4, has multiple objective types aswell as having pve quest hubs, dungeons etc
I heard the samething said about Ilum. Fusang, and WvW. I said about each, as long as it's fun, and entered all 3 with an open mind. Maybe Cyrodiil will a have a wrinkle, or the missing ingrediant that these others were missing. I hope it will, I'm just not very optimistic after spending a couple hundred dollars on 3 games that couldn't cover 12 months.
