http://tera-forums.enmasse.com/forums/news-announcements/topics/TERA-Rising-Available-February-5

Summary:

Two new servers, they will have their own instance matching and battleground matching. One PvP and one PvE, people from existing servers WILL NOT be allowed to transfer to these servers.

GG new players, you basically get to start the game fresh! It's like a new release for all of you now!

PvP server name is "Lake Of Tears", I can't express how happy I am that EME listened to our suggestion on this one lol!

If queues happen on old servers, all founders will get priority queue over F2P players.

Lastly, level restrictions have been implemented on the chat channels to handle the spam.

Well done EME, well done.

interesting. I figured I might give TERA a go since there is no sub and it has improved combat over conventional games

All of my posts are either intelligent, thought provoking, funny, satirical, sarcastic or intentionally disrespectful. Take your pick.

I get banned in the forums for games I love, so lets see if I do better in the forums for games I hate.

I enjoy the serenity of not caring what your opinion is.

I don't hate much, but I hate Apple© with a passion. If Steve Jobs was alive, I would punch him in the face.

I don't know how populated the new servers will be but if word spreads they might be active enough and be a good place to start TERA, I think what EME set up is pretty smart, it's essentially a re-launch of the game for F2P players on these servers since everyone will be on level playing fields with one another on the new servers instead of starting out on a current server where everyone has top end gear.

Are these the notes for the patch we'll be getting on Tuesday?  http://clanexiled.shivtr.com/forum_threads/1330193

Your site doesn't load for me, but patch notes are probably coming a day before the huge 31 hour maintenance for the F2P conversion February 4th.

On a side note Korea seems to be developing content finally, Kelsaik Santuary 10/20 man raid with NM and HM has been released which is the first raid for TERA, February they announced would bring in the guild alliance PvP battle area and they've currently got 3 more raids and a 20v20 siege battleground in development. Took them going F2P to finally make stuff... zzzz... MMO developers these days. *shakes fist*

TERA online ws an amazing game, when i played the trial i was in awe back, never before had i had this much fun on an mmo (excluding the earlier days of ultima online).

HOWEVER with tera going f2p, en masse announced that upgrade items will be removed from the normal shop and moved to the cash shop, you heard it here first, not upgrade increased chances but upgrade items themselves, this all but insures that the f2p model will be nothing more than a cash grab before the game ultimately dies.

Actually they put them in the shop as a reward for being elite and put them in dungeon drops, dungeon rewards and BG reward. MW Alkahest was 30g each before F2P but after F2P it dropped to 20g each in Korea on the trade broker. Not sure about the price changes for spellbind, I think they remained similar.

Seems enchanting got cheaper with F2P rather than more expensive like everyone thought it would. Now let's see how the market settles in NA.
