I find it so hilarious that every single themepark game forum thread is replete with countless hate filled anti themepoark trolls but hardly a single negative in most sandbox forums.
Why is it the fans of themeparks not bother to troll the sandbox forums? Becasue most of them are classy as fuck and have no ill wish toward any game even ones that they dont like. However every single thread about a themepark game is filled with trolls, hate and almost every single thread gets derailed from its original purpose (that is unless the thread itself is started by a hater).
I beg you staff to do THEIR JOB AND MODERATE THE FORUMS MORE.
This site is turning into a joke and I have already deleted my first account that was activated in 2004. Please I beg you to not let this site turn into a joke. If you think it isnt going that way then look in the forums and a cursory glance at any thread will reveal my information to be true.
This is getting to the point where It is absurd. But then again soemthign tells me nothing will be done and the hate towards themeparks will continue to abound here and every time someone makes a fan post about a topic of an upcoming game the trolls and haters will once again take over and hijack the thread. Its a shame your site would allow anyone to get away with this sort of bullshit.
Sandbox means open world, non-linear gaming PERIOD!
Subscription Gaming, especially MMO gaming is a Cash grab bigger then the most P2W cash shop!
Bring Back Exploration and lengthy progression times. RPG's have always been about the Journey not the destination!!!

The notion of trolls and haters isn't unique to MMORPG.com. Our moderators do their jobs, but there will always be a certain segment of posters that are more toxic than the average poster. We have to strike a balance between cracking down on offenders and avoiding the appearance of stifling discussion (including negative discussion). We're not perfect here, but we always endeavor to improve.
As far as themepark vs. sandbox goes. It may just be the case that this particular community has a stronger affinity on the whole for one or the other and that isn't something our community team is in control of. What we do expect is for users to treat each other in a civil manner on the forums and we'll deal with those who aren't. This community is as much yours as it is ours so I do hope you are reporting these offenses you're referring to so that we can ensure moderator eyeballs are seeing what you're seeing. We can't be everywhere at once and so it's important that community members pitch in as far as getting eyes where they need to be at times.
