Looking for sandbox

Figured I would try a sandbox,  I guess the only one I have played that could be considered a sandbox is runescape.

 

I would like it for be f2p.  Cash shop or p2p options are fine, but prefer the free part isnt limited in content, or not limited much.  I basically just want to be able to build my own place, level skills and play casually when Im bored.  Open world pvp is fine.  No sidescroller, turn based or text based please.

 

Also would be willing to pay a one time fee, preferably with a trial involved

    If by building your own place you mean housing, you are out of luck on a sandbox. I haven't tried mortal online or darkfall, but I am sure someone will tell you if they are good choices. In themeparks, Lotro, GW2 and Aion are F2P with housing.
