So now it sounds like we'll get to find out what happens after the end of the second game. I was curious what was going to happen to Alyx, Dr. Breen, and the Rebellion after you blew up "you know what." Hopefully this will satisfy the people who didn't like the ending. (personally I did, just made the G-man and everything else more mysterious).

And coming from Valve I don't have much of a doubt that it will be awesome. I know I'm probably going to get it as soon as it comes out. What about everyone else who played HL2?

I was so excited! Then I realized that Gordon and the Gman [perhaps until the end] will make an appearance and those are the only characters I wish to see. Alex? Meh. So she survived a mini nuclear explosion and a 140 story citidel collapsing? Big whoop. If I don't find out what happens to Gordon in the future, I will have to result to fan fiction. Please no. Not the fan fluff.

They're probably waiting for HL3 to continue on with Gordan. I wanted to learn more about the G-man and the Combine but we'll probably have to wait for that. At least with the expansion we'll be able to play some more Half-Life without waiting a few years for the next installment. I thought it was kind of dumb that Alyx survived that explosion though. Guess we'll find out and see.

I actually would not mind seeing HLIII using the Unreal III engine and the havok physics engine.
