LF Rewarding PVP and character progression

Hi Guys, 

 

Sorry for adding to a myriad of similar threads, but maybe you know something I dont.

I am currently playing GW2, I'm in a hardcore WVW guild but lately I'm getting super bored. I don't think the fabled WVW patch is going to make things more interesting, so, it's new game time.

I have (recently) played the following:

Eve - I feel I joined to late in thegame to progress anywhere, and there is a lot of work before you can PVP.

TSW - I had high hopes for this, played since beta but it just got rather stale, and the PVP was abysmal.

Aion - Didn't really like it,

WOW - Played since launch, quit before Cataclysm, deleted all my toons, feel I invested too much time to start over.

SWTOR - Played until my guild left for GW2, I was enjoying this one but again the PVP was lacking.

Planetside 2 - I tried this many times, I find it pretty hard without a guild and feel quite overwhelmed by the scale of it. (I did enjoy this though)

What I am looking for is either an (MMO)RPG or FPS - I really enjoy character progression, stealth mechanics, and PVP. Perhaps I will give PS2 yet another try, but I wonder if you guys know of any other games that might interest me. It doesn't have to be a new title, but an active community is essential, I don't want to fall in love with a dying game. I don't mind playing an old game, my first love was Anarchy Online and I have fond memories of it.

Darkfall unholy wars. It's in beta. Full loot open world skill based pvp (aiming, real time projectile/dodging/tactics)) with sandbox elements and warfare (politics/conquest etc)

And for all the haters going to polute this thread. Warhammer isn't dead and isn't going to die anytime soon.

Stick planetside 2 and GET AN OUTFIT

that and eve are the only current mmos worth a dime pvp wise.

Usually I agree with you, but I can't recommend either of these games right now. PS2 is just god awful, bugs performance and balance wise. EvE requires you play for 2 years of to start getting somewhere.

Warhammer, or AoC would get my vote, perhaps Firefall or Defiance when they come out, but I haven't played either.
