clumsy combat

I played this game for 5 minutes then logged off and deleted my client as well.  I was definitely not impressed by it. 

Im not sure if they are just bad designers or they wanted to make the game carebare, but the combat in this game is incredibly clumsy and just off.

The guns don't always shoot where you point them, your rate of fire is rediculously low, and people can run away very easily.  Also it takes an enourmous amount of fire to signifigantly damage anyone.  Killing someone is next to impossible unless the person is away from keyboard or doesn't realize they are being shot.  Also you can have like several hundred ammo and still run out before you hurt anyone very badly, and ammo is expensive.  On top of this mining happens at a set rate (pretty slow) so you can't powerplay and get more money all at once when you have the time.

    You found out all that in 5 minutes? Glad I give games more than a 5 minute try , I may not have liked any of them :) .

    Guess Im just better at sizing up a game quickly...  although 5 minutes was a bit of an exxageration as you probably know, since you cant get a gun in 5 minutes.

    Well the combat might be a little akward sometimes, but it is still fun when you get into it and in a way I'm a little glad (just a little, still needs to be fixed) because it is not like a mmorpg-Counter-Strike where are the 12 years old go talk that the owned you in 1337 language.

    But you are right that it still need to be changed in some way, as long as the basic system is still in place, and soon aliens "might" arrive image

    Joined closed beta played a few hours, and then promptly deleted this garbage off my computer. I dont think they could fix the combat enough unless they make a whole new game, and we've seen how that has gone.

    There is nothing redeeming about this game and is a total failure from what I've seen. I was so looking forward to it but in the end even if it was free, I wouldnt play.

    Well I've played it since it started in February and I have seen tons of the messages on official forum saying they played a little while (1hour-2days) and thought it was terrible.

     

    But it is not cs, and you joined at a little bad time (they just released a new interface and it is still bugged, Duplex is working on it at full speed) And it's consept is original and only some type of players can like it.

     

    Aside from that wait for the aliens, right now many factions don't know what their role is but they might come soon....image

    The combat in the game is just plain nasty. They really need to work on it alot more. But with the armor bug now, I makes for pretty interesting fights.

    when i tryed this game i totaly h8ed it after i got out of tutorial i had no idea what to do i just ran around the place for soo long then saw some people started shooting at them then i dyed if it gets better i might try it again

    This game still has a ways to go because, as various posters have noticed, there is a steep learning curve.  No, it's not how to use the keyboard commands.  It is the factional politics which make staying alive a challenge.  A Merc in Brooklyn is often an open target for the police, a cop in merc territory is likely to be shot and leave to the cloning tubes.

    You have to join up with your faction as soon as you can.  Most of the factions offer training, equipment and protection for new members.

    TAKE TIME TO LEARN. Everyone with the bad reviews barely have played, but if you take time to learn it gets a lot better.

    I usually give games an hour of play but i barely progress cause i like to mess around and get used to it alot...lol...but now i know that i should play it longer and i know that it should get better later...WOOT! lol..
