Guys this one is very very important in my opinion, lets start with the arena deal. Why developers don't put arena on the games? Why? It's very fun, it's very pvp oriented and a real lot of people like it, cause there you will play for kill, not like a Battleground where you can kill players but there's another stupid focus that is always present (like domination, flags, etc). And more than that if someone don't like arena it's easy, don't do it!
About Class change: yesterday I started a post about leveling, that it takes too much time and effort, etc. The problem that I see is that a lot of people (including me sometimes) spend a lot of time leveling a class that you don't know how it looks like in the max level and you get there and it sucks, what the majority does: quit playing (no they won't level another char). So why don't they implement the fackin thing?? Put a high price on it... people will pay for that, believe me. Sometimes the developers really don't know how to make money! WTF

Arena in Vanguard sucks. You lose 10% of your money if you lose. And I never managed to put money into my bank account, so I have all money on me all the time.
Class change sucks. If you no longer want to play a class, or really want to play some other class, just start a new character.
Themeparks where the main focus is endgame, where progression up to that point is a mere gimmick, may as well not even have level progression. Just make everybody equal and make gear progression the main focus
Level progression in themeparks these days has really lost their meaning. It's a pointless timesink, that may as well not exist
I love posts like this and i want to see more of them.
There isn't a "right" or "wrong" way to play, if you want to use a screwdriver to put nails into wood, have at it, simply don't complain when the guy next to you with the hammer is doing it much better and easier. - Allein

Once upon a time it was a tale of "capped out but my class sucks", back before respecs became common.
Blizzard loves to see posts like that too, kaching. "$15 please. Thank you." They probably consider it unfortunate that "free respecs" were already kind of MMO standard before they entered the game; else it would be another excellent money source. They'll have to be happy with how easy a server change charge to join the "winning" team keeps the dollars steadily rolling right in, I guess.
Self-pity imprisons us in the walls of our own self-absorption. The whole world shrinks down to the size of our problem, and the more we dwell on it, the smaller we are and the larger the problem seems to grow.
But that's right the point, there's no problem on paying for it. Nobody will be forced to pay for it, but if you leveled a class and you don't like it (doesn't mean it sucks) it's a way to continue playing that game. Specially because in most of the MMO nowadays leveling is not nice, not fun, it sucks. So it's complicated to reroll when you know it's not fun. Even if they charge 40 or 50 dollars ppl will pay for a class change!
Because it's my opinion that controlled environment arena PvP is trash resvered for FPS shooters? I mean seriously arenas already killed the competitive spirit in WoW what other game do you want them to ruin?
The "stupid focus" you are refering to is an actual goal, which has been lacking from PvP since DAoC Relics and Shadowbane cities.
A lot of people have been waiting a long time for PvP with a purpose.
Currently Playing: ESO and FFXIV
Have played: You name it
If you mention rose tinted glasses, you better be referring to Mitch Hedberg.
Aeon I really do respect you opinion but I don't think arena ruin anything, if people are playing it it's because they like it, like me. I think that the most possibilities you can offer in your MMO, the better. Cause if you don't like arena just don't do that, if you prefer battlegrounds, do battlegrounds and if you don't like PVP just grab the PVE content (when it has a good one).
What kind of pvp do you suggest it the best?
