Adventuring?

LastSpartanLastSpartan Member Posts: 87

A friend and I are looking to play a mmorpg. I just started to check EQ2 out but I got a few questions. I like to pvp and i noticed this game doesnt have any.

1.Any people that like to pvp play this game? If you do does the game make up for it?

2.The adventuring seems really cool in this game  whats your opinions on it?

3.Is it newb friendly?

4.Hows the grind?

5.How many people per server?

6.Anything else cool to do beside lvling?

    To answer your questions:

    1. I enjoy PvP. However the game has so many things for you to do, that quite honestly, I dont miss it much. Additionally, EQ2 team is developing PvP for the game right now.

    2. Adventuring is very in-depth. There are literally 1000s of quests for you to choose from with hundreds of epic quests and other long-term quests. You will never run out of things to do if you keep up with the quests. Additionally, the quest system may seem like a FEDEX style at first (at lower lvls you pretty much run errands at first) however, the higher lvls you go, the more exciting the quests open up to you.

    3. Very noob friendly. Good community; very mature.

    4. Grind isnt bad at all. They have a system called double XP bonus that constantly increases as time goes by. Also, if you keep focus on many of the quests and just have fun doing those, youll level and didnt even expect it. Im lvl 28 right now and I dont feel a harsh grind right now.

    5. Many of the servers are very populated. Befallen and Anotnia Bayle plus other servers are well populated. Antonia Bayle is the unoffical RP server.

    6. Craft. Crafting in this game is VERY in-depth. Also, many side quests are fun that dont require fighting....but youll still lvl from it.

Wow, they are actually working on pvp right now? There's a surprise (at least for me). Sounds interesting, I had some good times on a pvp-teams server in EQ1 (and some really frustrating ones). Lets just hope they can balance pvp better in EQ2.

    I believe they will

Smedley said the combat PvE will be a totally seperate system than in PvP

    It'll be interesting...

I read theres good and evil races. What exactly does that mean? Like a evil races can't go to good towns? or more important stuff like what monsters you fight? does the game have a good story?

Good races start in Qeynos as evil races start in Freeport. Bth places are significantly different from one another form the looks to the way npc's talk to you. Mobs are also different in the two zones.
