Hi, thinking of getting into WoW....

Hello, well I tried the OB for WoW a while ago and had to stopped for some reason.

Im prolly gonna go get it today, and all night I've been kinda thinking which server I should be in...

There are 2 servers PvP and just normal server.  I heard in PvP server if you choose one side ,Horde for example, you can only make thier characters in that PvP server, correct??

and I know normal server can make any sides character... then whats the difference between those 2 servers??

On a PvP server, you are always tagged to be killed by any race on the opposite faction. On PvE, you can only be tagged if you choose to be or you attack a tagged person of another faction.

    PvP:
Everyone is tagged and it is open PvP versus opposite faction.

    PvE:
Player A is not tagged. Player B is not tagged. Player A types /pvp. Player A is tagged, Player B attacks. Player B is now tagged.

If this is your first MMORPG experience, I would suggest playing a PvE server to atleast 20 so you can get situated with the game and see how things work before you move over to PvP.

ah ic thank you for your info.

PvP sounds fun...(this is not my first time in mmos, played a few...)

In PvE server I know you can create any factions of races in one server, but in PvP if you choose one faction are you only allowed to make the races of that faction??

PS: are there more ppl playing in PvP or PvE server??

That's correct, on a PvP server, you make a character of one faction and stick with that faction. I am not sure about numbers 100%, but I think more people play PvP than PvE.

This game revolves around pvp matches. I would recommend starting out on a PvE server unless you have played alot of MMO's. Get situated and learn the game style. Then go PvP; however, if you have played alot of MMO's then I would recommend just going straight into PvP. This game is not very different and shouldn't be anything new to a veteran MMO player.

No Blizzard doesn't charge extra for more characters you have thats EQ2... I think the max of characters you can have is 50, and the max per server is 8.
