Might I sarcasticly suggest you try a manufacturing JOB. Again that was sarcasm.
Although I do not understand why folks like to play MMOs solo, there are much better non-multiplayer games, and countless instant messaging options to take place of chat.

Sure if you know of a manufacturing job where I can sit at home with my computer abd leave at any minute and be away for a week when needed nad I also find it fun, then sure I would like to get paid for that..
The deepest crafting systems that I've ever run across were Vanguard's. At least they appeared to be really deep, to the point where I couldn't get my head around them, even with the crafting specific wiki. Probably second deepest behind SWG. I really liked the fact that when you bought a player built item, it was generally completely different from the stuff that tends to drop, with a more varied set of characteristics. It had the crafter's name on it too, so you could patronize a good crafter.
If you are holding out for the perfect game, the only game you play will be the waiting one.

Hmm GW2 is the first game where I have all crafts at max level.
So I had fun but then again it's also an indication that crafting is a bit too easy.
newly "almost" released i would proly say Age of Wushu/Wulin
upcoming: Camelot Unchained, Repopulation, FFXIV:ARR
Tried Fallen Earth, did not like it much. And I would not call it a new game
Found the crafting in GW2 too easy, I want to put some work into it..
well since you tried a game that is not new, try vanguard, ryzom or ac2

New? No telling.
