So it was like I said. It wasn't an exploit.

Players got creative in a way we did not originally intend, but we do not want to punish you for it. However, we also did not intend for it to be that way so we are making a temporary change to address it until we can get a more permanent solution in place.

    = Exploit.

They are just not going to punish people.

When did we start altering the English language so that words lost their meaning?

“It's unwise to pay too much, but it's worse to pay too little. When you pay too much, you lose a little money - that's all. When you pay too little, you sometimes lose everything, because the thing you bought was incapable of doing the thing it was bought to do. The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot - it can't be done. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.”

My stance is usually that it is the fault of the devs when these things happen - until they warn people and then anyone who takes advanage is exploiting.

Clearly they don't want to expend the resource that would be needed to fix it - at the moment anyway. And clearly they are not worried about the rate at which people level - hence the double xp events. If people stop buying double xp perks however then they may change their mind.

I totally loved the double xp weekend. I don't think it really matters if people grind to level fifty in 10 hours. I don't have 10 hours to grind away anyway and if you do I feel so sorry got you.

So if you dont want to level quickly, just dont play in the weekends...

    Thats just plain stupid.

Best MMO experiences : EQ(PvE), DAoC(PvP), WoW(total package) LOTRO (worldfeel) GW2 (Artstyle and animations and worlddesign) SWTOR (Story immersion) TSW (story) ESO (character advancement)

End game is horrible for TOR, so I'm not sure why someone would want to rush through to it.  XP weekends are probably good for F2P people though, since they don't level for shit otherwise.

    You make me like charity

When the company of the game says it is not an exploit, then it isn't an exploit.

First, we are not considering this an exploit so anyone who had fear of action being taken against their characters, etc, should not be afraid. We will not be doing anything to players who used the Ilum pylons to get to 50.

    Case closed.
