 Yes it is crowdsourcing but for extra cash. They already have millions from investors.

 

 Creator is one of the original founders of Ultima I-X and is creating a version you can play on your computer. Also 3 online modes, single player online, friends only, and a sort of MMO.

 

 Story is being written by one of the dragonlance authors.

 

 Also, for as little as $20 you can get into alpha and beta testing.
