Neverwinter has serious potential.

I agree that it has potential, it seems pretty perfect for a mostly solo player like me.  Or the cleric does, anyway.  The other classes were bland or too pot dependent or mostly both at low levels, but they might get better at higher levels with skill swapouts and of course the companions.

My  main worry is monetization.  How will they get money out of  mostly solo players like me without annoying us to death in a thousand little ways?  If  I have a choice between being annoyed into spending money or quitting I always choose quitting.  This has been the main reason PWI has never made a dime off me.

The other reason has been cost.  It has always been too pricy to use their cash shops.  Although it does seem they might be moving in an account wide item direction with some things, which is a major improvement.  We shall see if they finally figure out a way to extrude an acceptably small amount of cash from my wallet on a regular basis for once.

And of course I won't preorder or drop money down early on because even though so far Neverwinter seems to be exactly what I'm looking for in an MMO, I learned from Guild Wars 2 that this can change drastically after launch.  But definitely seeing potential all the same.  And Neverwinter is worlds above the typical PWI game in quality and originality.  Brought back fond memories of the first time I played Diablo, only with 3D view.  I like that.

I am convinced there is only one way to eliminate these grave evils, namely through the establishment of a socialist economy, accompanied by an educational system which would be oriented toward social goals.
