Albion Online - Upcoming cross-platform sandbox MMO. Looks interesting

Hey, it's been quite a long time since I made a thread on here. But I find this game quite interesting, a cross-platform "top-down" sandbox MMO. Now, this game seems to offer every feature I've been looking for in an MMO for quite a long time...

  • Seems to be one server one world. Persistant, like an MMO should be, really.
  • All items and buildings player crafted. - Can we really build anything we want anywhere? Player housing? Hope so.
  • Fully player-driven economy. Bringing resources from north to south will be an industry of its own.
  • Open PvP full loot
  • No levels or classes
  • Territory control (I'm assuming PvP?) as a core gameplay mechanic. Also claims to have put an end to "zerging" (situations where a 100 player guild steals a 10 player guilds territory for those who aren't familiar with the term. Coined from Starcraft).
  • Isometric style (which I personally love).
  • Android / Apple / PC cross-platform
  • Free to play, not pay to win.
This, to me sounds very appealing. All of the game mechanics sound just like the kind of MMO I want to play, then just to top it off it's isometric style and playable on my Android tablet.

Now, another interesting point I've noticed, but this is purely speculation by me.

They state “Free to Play”, but NOT “Pay to Win” - We (the company) are not selling items to the players. We are only acting like a central bank, exchanging currencies. Interesting. Now if you look at some of the screenshots on the official site, at the top right you can see Gold, Silver, and a button saying "get more gold". Maybe Silver is the currency you earn in-game and you purchase gold with $$$ which can be used for in-game trades, too?

Anyway, enough speculation. If this sounds as good to you as it does to me, go and have a look.

Always hating on instances in MMOs! Open worlds, open PvP, territory control and housing please. More persistence, more fun.

Could be cool.  I like every bit of info they've made available thus far.. but that's not much.  Will have to wait and see.

A new isometric sandbox does have appeal, though.

    True.

When players make the content, players become the content and it's only a matter of time before there is none left. "Come to my yard, I'll drop water balloons on your head, from the roof and it's Free"!

As far as I can remember, in this one you could buy gold from the developer itself with cash. If that's the case, how is it not Pay to Win?

Check the upper right corner, GET MORE GOLD of the screenshot:

Sorry if I confuse this game with something else.
