Thanks to you and especially all the staff that are usually hidden in the background. Make sure you guys get some serious rest this weekend and have a great Easter filled with lots of chocolate and candy. Like the junkies we are, we'll all be here happily waiting for our next "fix" until then
edit: I just realized that I am actually excited to hand over my money to a game developer as if I were opening a Christmas gift. How sick is that?!?...

I expect nothing less (ribbing, joking and even trolling). We were a day late even with working weekends to make up the lost time but it doesn't matter, we were still late. That's why I'm here and I'll be on other places as well, talking to folks and not hiding out behind a CM or simply posting the message and leaving.

And some people wonder why we are going BSC over this game two years out. This dev team is going to take the lumps when deserved, but remember to give them credit where credit is due. I credit them for being honest, being humble, being at the front lines and serving pie (well, maybe no pie).
Good to hear Mark. You've been forward to the community about the ambition behind not only the principles but the Kickstarter itself as well. As for the delay, you've taken the time to educate as to why it fell short of your original timeline. As well as an insight of the thought process behind it.
I look forward to it, and what you've said about the game. I don't have to agree with everything, but the most important things I value in a mmo has been addressed. I'm willing to invest, and do so knowing that my contribution to the project is very small compared to your own personal stake in a game for a niche market in which you may never see a return. I appreciate the risk, for it really minimizes my own soon-to-be offering. I hope you feel some satisfaction knowing that CU passed ESO in hype on the site. Not that really means much itself, but it does show (and this is opinionated) that there is a place for the idea of the game. That the game isn't for everyone, but from the sounds of it, it could be for me.
The bad news is that Kickstarter campaign for Camelot Unchained is not going to start today. The good news is that our project is currently in review. As soon as Kickstarter approves our project, we will announce the official Kickstarter launch date. We have no reason to expect that it won’t be approved next week but our project is rather “complicated” as there are a ton of moving parts, including 30 very detailed reward tiers, all the individual rewards, Founder’s Exchange (the store), etc. Due to that complexity, the holiday and the typical studio issues of weather/illness/CPU going boom/etc., it took us just a little bit longer than we thought it would to put it all together so please accept our apologies for this brief delay.
We are going to take advantage of this “downtime” to post material from the campaign, starting with our pledge tiers. Our plan is to break up the tiers into multiple blog posts with the first part going up, on our brand new website, later today.
We will let you know the Kickstarter campaign’s starting date after our project is approved. Again, sorry for the brief delay but when you see our Kickstarter presentation next week, I hope you will agree that it was worth waiting for, even if the wait is just a wee bit longer than expected.

Stuff happens. I mean who ever heard of a delay in video game development, right? UNTHINKABLE! There is nothing to apologize for and nothing to forgive. It would be naive of us to be so anal as to not consider unexpected variables will happen over the course of any long term project. Just make the game the best it can be.
Ok you miss the first date, never mind, but your way of communication is bad.
Troll spotted. WTS: One bridge for you to live under.

For the future, I hope that such kind of information be made earlier.
I don't think that you woke up this morning and you realized that you have some trouble with the schedule.
I just want to see a open an good kind of communiction between CSE and the community.

Honestly, the reason I didn't post earlier was that I wanted to wait till 2PM before making the decision. I was hoping that it would get approved but once that happened, we had to get some other things in place. I really wanted to wait till the last minute because well, hope springs eternal. This time, she (and we) fell on her face. The 2PM deadline was so that if we got the go-ahead, we could launch and our friends (and hopefully backers) in Europe would still be able to be at our KS before they went to bed. Given that many of our tiers (like most game-based Kickstarters) are limited, I didn't want to launch at a time that would not allow them to pledge those tiers if they sell out. Once I made the call we sent out the newsletter, posted here, posted on our website.
And before someone asks, yes, we will also have Paypal access on our website if the KS funds (with all the tiers) for those people who do not have a credit card.
Again, please accept my apologies for the delay.

Gratz Mark, also I think that was the right call as well. You posted and spread the word. Whats done is done. I agree it's pretty important everyone has the same chance to pledge what they like.

True. Four hours late, thanks Murph!
Yeah, I won't put Europeans at a disadvantage with the limited tiers by launching now. That really wouldn't be fair to them.
