Well, so much for any more Star Wars games for a while...

Kotaku article says it all really. Disney has shuttered Lucas Arts games division. So, I guess anyone with hopes for a new SW MMO is SOL...

I angered the clerk in a clothing shop today. She asked me what size I was and I said actual, because I am not to scale. I like vending machines 'cause snacks are better when they fall. Unless Disney realizes that LucasGames is a failure and they are just going to allow other companies to make the games on their own without getting in the way too much...

A second source also told Kotaku this afternoon that the chances of Lucas licensing out 1313 are very slim. The odds are "effectively zero," the source said."

Unknown future Star Wars games may be made, but the 2 titles mentioned seem all but dead.

Personally the only modern MMORPG trend that annoys me is the idea that MMOs need to be designed in a way to attract people who don't actually like MMOs. Which to me makes about as much sense as someone trying to figure out a way to get vegetarians to eat at their steakhouse.- FARGIN_WAR

So essentially there will be more Star Wars games, it just will be done by developers licensing the IP.

seems so but the 1313 team seems to of been let go or "restructured" so doesn't look good for that game unless the people making it can take what they made to another studio and finish it...

seeing the E3 footage last year I'm sure they were decently far into development by now.. i'd hope some way or another this games gets completed
