†ulfberh†t

Figured some of you might like watching this.  It is a sword 1,000 years ahead of its time that has been found in viking graves.  The sword has "†ulfberh†t" etched into it.  Here is a link to a youtube video about the sword.

Would be awesome if you could take the bones of your enemies and burn them in a forge(make carbon) to mix with iron to make steel.

Didn't they discover they were built by the people of the Middle East?

Thanks, very interesting and love watching historical documentarys like this one.

Sandbox means open world, non-linear gaming PERIOD!

Subscription Gaming, especially MMO gaming is a Cash grab bigger then the most P2W cash shop!

Bring Back Exploration and lengthy progression times. RPG's have always been about the Journey not the destination!!!

Interesting video, love the mysteries, love the investigations, love historical examinations.

What exactly does this have to do with CU?

  • SorninSornin Member Posts: 1,133

I just finished watching this and loved it - thanks for posting the link!

I wonder whether the realms in CU will have a lot of variance in their arsenals, too. Maybe one realm has metals with certain properties that other realms don't?

I hope the items a crafter has made is marked as "Made by" as they did in DAoC and UO. it's excellent advertising.

Figured people would find it interesting.  Would be cool if they tied some realistic things into the crafting system in CU.  Something like making it so you can collect your dead enemies bones and burn them in a forge to add carbon to your iron to make steel.

I am almost certain that will be the case. IIRC the Crafters Icon that is included in some tiers, is a mark that can be put on gear you make. Along with your name of course
