Is PC Defiance for sure getting an upgrade?

I apologize if this topic is a dead horse. I've actually had a hard time finding specific information on this game, much easier to find info on, say, Darkfall Unholy Wars than Defiance.

 

I played the beta and there are some pretty fun aspects to this game. However, I can't pretend that the PC version of the game is anything other than a bad console port. I think we know the issues - lack of options for graphics, a truly bad UI, and chat is awful (I think that last one is common among all systems, but I could be wrong). Plus a host of other launch issues that happen with most MMORPGs.

 

My question is: Has Trion come out and said if the above issues (PC specific issues) will be fixed? I was a RIFT player and have a lot of respect for how Trion continually improved the game. I can put up with the above Defiance flaws for a few months even while I learn the game, but I won't put up with them forever and if they're not going to be fixed (ie keep all versions of the game the same), I would rather not buy the game (or maybe get it for PS3). AS far as we know we will get a 8 page worth of notes patch around the 15th. I say wait until then to buy the game if you already dont like it.
