Probably cliche but Dan Brown's "Da vinchi Code" was a good read.

Think the movie version will be out next year...?

I heard the "Da Vinchi code" was very good. Personally I like the fantasy books and The "Death Gate Cycle" have been my favourite series so far. I loved those books.

For a more serious read "Brave new world" by Aldous Huxley,"Ceremony" by Leslie Marmon Silko or "The Edible Woman" by Margaret Atwood where all really good books as well. Depends on my mood image,

    Masquerade cycle

    Odyssey cylce

    Invasion cycle

    Ice Age  cylce

    Legends cylce

    Anthologies cycle

and a few more...each cycle has about 3 - 4 books in it and legends and Anthologies both have about 8 in them its a prety large series but best books i have ever read. my favorite is Iceage cycle I: Gathering Dark by Jeff grubb.

I don't exactly have a favorite book considering I read so many. I have many favorites which include the Enders Game Series, The Lord of the Rings Trilogy, and the DragonLance novels. Those are just some of the hundreds of books that I like, but you can kind of get an idea of what kind of books I like. image

Yeah, next year with Tom Hanks and Jean Reno. I hope they do a good job with it too, I really liked the book (although I think I liked Angels & Demons even better). I enjoyed all 4 of his books (Da Vinci, Angels & Demons, Deception Point, and Digital Fortress). They weren't really deep or anything but they were a nice break from the usual stuff I read.

A Song of Ice and Fire - George R. R. Martin

It's a series still currently in production, with three books already out.

    A Game of Thrones

    A Clash of Kings

    A Feast for Crows

With the fourth, A Storm of Swords, supposedly coming out this year.

    Best fantasy series, ever. EVER.

Yes, better than Lord of the Rings.

    Better than Wheel of Time.

Better than anything by Margret Weis and Tracy Hickman.

Better than anything in The Forgotten Realms.

Better than anything by Piers Anthony.

Better than anything by Orson Scott Card.

    Better than Robert E. Howard.

    Better than Michael Moorcock.

Better than anything I've ever read, with a collection of over a thousand fantasy novels.

    Go. Buy. Read. NOW.

Listen Asmodeeus, seven years ago, Ultima Online didn't even have those pathetic "quests" that you refer to or those "professions" of ninja, samurai, necromancer, and paladin. Nor did it have any of the neon crap, or bug mounts. It didn't even have any "combat moves." You turned on attack and jousted with simplistic swings. It was a better game then. if you can't guess why then just uninstall the thing and move along. - Crabby

I'm surprised no one has mentioned the LOTR books yet.... best read of my life.

I've just finished reading "Last Man Standing" by David Baldacci, I defiantly would recommend it.
