Anyone have any information on when tis game is supposed to release? The main website didn't yield anything when I looked. I have friends whom I keep telling about the game but I'm starting to feel like I'm waiting for the great pumpkin again.

We're still estimating a Q4 2013 release. When we have an updated or more definitive date, we will make sure everyone knows.

i would of thought Q1 2014.. any news on the guranteed beta access from kickstarter? still haven't got any word on that yet

I angered the clerk in a clothing shop today. She asked me what size I was and I said actual, because I am not to scale. I like vending machines 'cause snacks are better when they fall. If I buy a candy bar at a store, oftentimes, I will drop it... so that it achieves its maximum flavor potential. --Mitch Hedberg

I wish I could give you guys a date, but we haven't set one. We're still looking at Q2 for beta to begin as far as I've been told.

Thanks Kayletta, I haven't been on the official forums for a while and I didn't see anything concerning what I wanted to know.

From what I am seeing, the weapon and armor models are looking great. What do you think of combat as it is in the current build?

We still have no concrete date, but we're looking at Q4 2013 or Q1 2014. It will really depend on how we feel about the game in November. If we feel its ready then it can go live. If it needs more time it will be delayed until it's ready. The last thing you want to do with an imo is rush it before it's ready imo. Too many games have fallen prey to that over the years imo.

The combat is getting better with each pass that we make. Animations are smooth, we have active dodging in place (not just for players but mobs too!), and in general combat looks and feels pretty good. It has a grittier feel to it than say, Wow, but we aren't aiming for that cartoonish magical panda bear feel anyway :) I don't play the game much, generally I'm kept busy outside of the game, and when I go log in it's usually to input new missions, so I'm not the best person to ask about combat, but I hope that helps a little at least.

We did a video right before PAX east that showed some combat (although we somehow managed to never show a active dodge /facepalm). This thread (http://www.mmorpg.com/gamelist.cfm/game/738/view/forums/thread/379827/PAX-Trailer-Video.html) on MMORPG.com links to the video.

I hate when people say release ASAP, because they get happy about a game and rush the DEVS, I been in game design for years and watch companys I have worked for rush there game and it fails short, because they listen to gamer's, It sounds like this company is being smart and NOT listening to gamers when they bug them about releasing, I know games I work on, I refuse to release a game and rush it because people can't wait, the wait will be worth it..... If repopulation doesn't release for a few more years so be it, as long as they so a great job, the last 10 years we have got alot of trash given to us because  of this.

I will always say wait for a game, I know what it takes to make these games, its a ton of work, and its hard work, that takes alot of time and talent to do, so people need to chill, when its done they will tell us, and we will get to play.  My only issues, is why are you guys going F2P??  Don't say the market either, DEVS have proven time and time again F2P is a failed method, cheaters and community's are ruined by this.    I frankly do not play F2P games , I think its  a bad method, I can tell you all day why its bad, and proven why its bad, Pay to play is the market and will be the market for games .

TSW uses it, Defiance, has GW 1 and 2 has been successful, you guys should sell the game, and sell cosmetic stuff, in a store and be done with it, the F2P market is a horrid way to go and the cheaters will take over your game mark my word, and ruin it, the immature crowd that will never spend a dime will ruin the community, I been in the game Development industry for 30 years and in marketing, I see why your trying for it, but BAD idea.........   Sci-fi, younger demographic, I get all that but if people like the game they will buy it, do a trial even at release, but F2P your asking for trouble..

    I'm calling it right now.

This game will be delayed until at LEAST spring 2014, if not Summer.

Listening to the 'dev' already starting to lay the groundwork on the inevitable announcement, its a foregone conclusion.

They will delay as long as possible until the niche audience for this game start to become irritated. Then and only then will they announce something.

But don't be deceived, this game won't be out for another year minimum.    And I will save this thread/quote so I can pull it up later and show my Nostradamus like ability......

In order to have a delay, you need to have a release date in the first place. And there has never been one. The game will be done when it's done.

    Well...

To be fair, you put "Expected release date" Q4 2013" on the Kickstarter. Now, true, you used the qualifier "expected", so that can be used as an escape, but it doesn't change peoples feelings.

For future deliveries Kickstarter requires you give an Estimated date. Not expected, but Estimated. You have to specify something there. We've only ever officially announced two dates: Start of alpha and start of alpha 2. And we delivered on both of those dates. We're not going to give any firm dates until we are fairly sure we can meet them.

Never argue with a fool, onlookers will be unable to tell the difference :P

I've been following the game for a while and I'm ecstatic to hear this response nonetheless. Nothing worse than a rushed product that doesn't meet the consumers or devs expectations. I've been dying for an mmo that isn't combat-centric and here's to hoping this game may be what I've been waiting for.

People need to realize, if you rush the DEVS, your going to get trash,  Gamers are never happy ever, when a DEV says Q1, or Q2, that is saying that , that is when they expect  to get things going, anyone with half a brain, knows when making a game, it takes time, and delays are to be expected.....  I wish people would stop whining...... I'm glad they are saying when its done its done, I would do the same thing, and I would NOT rush, because repop DEVS don't have a ton of money to waste....

Ignore the haters, and get it done, when its done,  I wish gamers would make a game, and then see what it takes. just once....
