---that they will NOT have a stand on E3 and will NOT announce or show anything significant, like a screenshot from the Secret Space Project, or even a 2013/2014 roadmap
they prolly have to rely on very short term plans, to keep swtor afloat
and they have to be running out of emergency plans sooner or later
but theres one positive point for them: TITAN was just reset to 2016
It's funny that they needed to implement this at all. The existing ground and space games are so pedestrian that they have to have this uber space project dangling out there like a prophecy for the dullard faithful:
And lo, in the tenth time span from the far edges of the lagverse
will cometh unto ye a void bereft of rails.
The faithful shall spendeth in the store, and sub
as ye practice forebearance of the blandness
Would have been better if they would have just made the base game more worthwhile.

that means one competitor less
until we hear something about their mythical SSSP, we'll already be playing Star Citizen alpha and Elite Dangerous which comes in 2014.
I never saw Titan as competitor, we don't even know what kind of game it was supposed to be.
yeah, coming from a dev team that is the kerosene-powered moped of dev teams. They may get this done around the time when humans actually reach the nearest star.
If it was a recolored armor on the store it would be soon, this project is ages from anything like release.
I want it to be Xwing Vs Tie. You can do solo/4 person, 8, 16, 20 ish person team coop fights. PvP vs another small number
I can't see it being a giant open ended space sim.
I'd like to see three "zones" one for each faction and a pvp zone. You launch missions just like in the Xwing series from your home base that play out just like Xwing alliance. These can include pvp matches. The "PvP zone" is just that, BUT INCLUDES NPC bases/ships at all times.
I expect 8v8 or 12v12 tiny little personal ship vs ship fights. Same as they use currently, just not "on rails"
..which will most likely be an open world multiplayer epic Star Wars game, plus Starcitizen and Elite coming out, what will be the USP of BWs space project?
The SSSP is far out in BWs release schedule, by the time they are finished it will be too late and too much competition.
If they would release it in a couple of months they could aquire 2 million new players instantly, because there is NO competition yet. Missed opportunity, too bad.
The secret space game will have absolutely nothing to do with SWTOR if it hasnt been mothballed already a number of the guys on it were moved to dice quite some time ago nor where they ever working within the hero engine.
If it did, they would have shown a screenshot of it. I don't care if its in "early pre alpha beta stage" if they had anything to show regarding this, they would show it because they know it would bring people back to the game.
Most likely, if it ever ends up coming out it will be less like EVE/JTL and more like StarFox multiplayer - which isn't to say StarFox multiplayer was bad, just that it probably isn't what people are expecting.
nah they said it exists, several time. I don't think they would flat out lie about it.
question is
what is it?
how far is it in development?
when will they show us a freakin' screenshot, anything, a wingtip of a spaceship, a star map, a character in a cockpit....ANYTHING
I disagree based on the reasons I stated in the above posts.
If it was a real thing, they would have shown us something because it would be incredibly useful for marketing reasons alone.
The fact that they haven't shown us anything leads me to think that its nothing more than conceptual, OR its going to be multiplayer Star Fox and they know people will be unhappy.
Originally posted by Maquiame I honestly don't understand why people still play this game.
Because the name "Star Wars" is attached to it. That alone has caused many players to drop their MMO standards and happily throw money at Bioware. The only thing I can say for certain is that any revamped space system Bioware ends up employing will be Cartel Market driven.

This cant be said enough, if SWTOR didn't have the SW IP bonded to it, no one would bother with this vapid clone.

Survivor of the great MMORPG Famine of 2011
reminds me of my childhood
we actually enjoyed playing that, because there was not much else, except for tennis
EVERY game console had one of these games, at one point, they even put them in watches
and it has a surprising similarity to SWTORs current Space part
until we hear something about their mythical SSSP, we'll already be playing Star Citizen alpha and Elite Dangerous which comes in 2014.

its an mmorpg, so they share the same market,,scifi or not
but yes,,the other two are certainly more direct competitors ,,,also wildstar
Here is the latest amazingly detailed info on the upcoming super secret space project!!

Well, since it´s now official that DICE is making Star Wars Battlefront III...

competetion is there already,,or did EVE shut Down?,,,and STO?
wildstar will be focuced on raiding,,i doubt they will keep a big playerbase
star Citizen, the PVP slider is bound to give them a lot of trouble
i have no doubt, that both games will have a good initial sale
how many will stay, and pay, is a different story
ideally it would be completely separated from the ground game.
no levels but skill based progression
starting at character lvl 50 "endgame" style space sandbox universe opening up.
that would make it worth looking at Swtor again
I personally don't think it exists.

yea,,no doubt, that a screenshot, or something would have kept a lot of their customers
so,,either theyre saying no to Money, or they dont have anything
a dev saying" ive played it , and it was fun" wouldnt carry much weight,,even from blizzard
Any mmo worth its salt should be like a good prostitute when it comes to its game world- One hell of a faker, and a damn good shaker!
In fact the last time I had to free up space on my SSD, I de-installed and swore to myself I will only download again if the space expansion is out
i havent even uninstalled mine yet
Theres still that tiny spark of hope, that they will turn it around, somehow
seeing , what craptic have done with sto, we know it can be done
but only after buckets of blood, sweat and tears(and several years)
the minute i need more Space on my drive, its the first to go
even before the discount boob simulator, known as scarlet blade
tell me your favorite game, and ill tell you , whats wrong with it
STO... I know it and play it on and off --
Which one did more justice to their original IP I´d say STO hands down.
STO is a better Star Trek game than SWTOR is Star Wars game
yea,,in sto, we can do other Things, than constant battle
scanner mission, diplomatic missions,,anything to break the routine of "kill X, and bring me Y"
and the character customizations are simply lightyears apart,, in sto i can change my looks
for a very modest amount of in-game credits
not to mention the weird looking aliens a player can create
and they did that with so much less resources, than swtor

If you want a space game look up Star Citizen.
