Still not excited, the concept itself is sound and I actually love the concept.
But It's the execution that matters and so far from what is shown it hasn't really impressed me. Trust me I've been a gamer for a very long time and do understand these a merly small tech demo's.
Of course the character now while nice looking it looks pretty static, will it match up to what we atleast expect how characters move ingame especially 2 to 3 years from now? I expect seeing this stage that it's gonna take allot more then 2 or 3 years, I would say much closer to 4 to 6 years, maybe even longer, If he really wants to deliver his concept to it's fullest.
I do hope I am wrong and he will be able to deliver his full concept within that small time table.
Andrew Meggs is what you call a "Genius" coding world.
They also plan to hire 30 more staff members once they fund. So they'll have a little over 40 people. Working on the game for 2.5 to 3 years...with a nice budget, no producer overhead, and the ability to do what they want...oh yeah, this will easily be done. I don't expect to see it pushed back, maybe even released earlier.
These are just small demos as you said...of course they're static, he's showing off NEtworking code.

I wouldn't worry about the game's aesthetics (i.e. animations, etc), CSE showed us a video a little while ago of a released title (March on Oz) and the animations were superb.

Never satisfied. First people complain about "not even alpha gameplay footage" and now that you have better than most games, at this stage, you're asking for smooth animations and killable puppies?

Andrew is fantastic. The last two videos were awesome.
I find it extremely interesting to see the progression of the demo throughout the KS. Hopefully the interactive live demo test will showcase the engine abilities with tons of players live. The animations are important as that isn't extra stress on the engine. As long as the fansbase understands what the point of the tech demo is it will likely be interesting and impressive if only for the small manpower behind the current build.
