Set in a more modern age?

in Camelot Unchained

Maybe I misunderstood something from the latest video, but from what I took from it, the Arthurian leader is not actually King Arthur himself, he was simply transformed into his likeness because he's pretty much a big fan of the legend, and the Viking leader isn't an actual Viking, but this guy was a big fan of Vikings. Sorry I worded that poorly, I'm pretty tired. So, this would be set in a time where both Vikings and King Arthur were things of the past?

 

 

Also, could someone do SOMETHING about this stupid fucking Scarlet Blade ads taking up the whole background? I'm tired of seeing 9 year olds with porn star bodies. This is disgusting.

    Set in the future would be awesome.

    There's been sort of near miss with the apocalypse, man reverted back to iron age technology. People occasionally find "magic artifacts" from an ancient age, that are really (our) modern day tech.

    Step 1: Use firefox

    Step 2: Get the addon "Adblock Plus"

    Step 3: Right click the background and select "Adblock Plus: Block Image"

    Step 4: Select the FIRST of the 4 options available ending in the .jpeg

    Repeat for each image and presto! No more sextrade children in your webpages! Enjoy. :)

    Yeah, but what annoys me is that MMORPG.com allows them in the first place.

     

    There should be limits! It's just trashy! It's based on Queens Blade, something that makes Ikkitousen look PG13. MMORPG.com will take moeny from anyone, no standards.

    I love the story, its great for the role playing crowd. Instead of "oh I was knocked out" its now "I'm immortal and can never die! mwhahaha!!!"

    There is little to no information on whether or not the realms will have anything more than typical fantasy and magic just like the old game. It is however set far into the future of the time setting of Daoc, hence why there needs to be new leaders and is a tool for CSE to have far more control over content with the back drop as it is.

     

    I believe it won't be anything more than traditional lore that is then sent through an apocalyptic event. Pretty common tool really to allow for original lore. Many writers/game makers do this. It will all still feel very fantasy I imagine if played.

    What I'm getting from what's been revealed so far is that the setting could very well be in the modern age or even the future. But because of the piercing of the veil and the impact of the swords on the twins, man has pretty much reverted back into the iron age. With perhaps some remnant of more advanced technology remaining, mostly in the hands of the Arthurians.
