geez too many games to list...but I think one of the greatest games of all time that I can still play anytime and for hours is Mario 3. Man that game is classic. As for new games I would have to say FFFVII, GTA3 and Vice City. Goldeneye is another long hour classic.

I would have to say my fav games to play offline would be:

    • Rise of Nations - the conquer the world scenario
    • All of the Impression city building games - Caesar, Pharaoh, Zeus, Emperor
    • Zoo Tycoon
    • Rollercoaster Tycoon I & II
    • Morrowind
    • Baldur's Gate I & II

Those are just the ones I have played recently.  My all-time favorite is Betrayal in Antara.  I adore that game.

Is Rise of nations really that good?  I have heard or read rather a lot of site rave about it.  Looks interesting, but is it just another spin on the Civilization series?

My software never has bugs. It just develops random features.
Why doesn't DOS ever say "EXCELLENT command or filename!"

Customer: "How fast will my COM ports go?"
Tech Support: "How hard can you throw your computer?"

I hated civilization.  I just did not like it at all.  Rise of Nations, to me, is much better.  The Conquer the World scenario feels a lot like the board game Risk.  In ways.  If you liked Age of Empires, you would probably like rise of nations.  It is more like that than civilization

Nope! But On the Pc it's pretty great. Fun as heck! But since it's still in Alpha, there are some bugs that affect the game play, such as freezing, this has happen quite a bit, but I still play for enjoyment image

Hmm......There are a lot of non-MMORPG's that I like. Including Battlefield 1942, Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory, Empire Earth.

I think one of my favorites would be Grand Theft Auto: Vie City. So much freedom, so much violence, so much fun....

In response to the Multiplayer GTA question, no. There aren't any official multiplayer GTA's yet. BUT, some people have managed to get into the programming of the PC versions of GTA3 and Vice City and made very, very rough multiplayer modes. I think you can download the multiplayer Vice City mod from Fileplanet.com. Not sure about the GTA3 one, I think you can get it there, too.

Alice is a dark and twisted retelling of Alice's adventure in Wonderland. Some parts get kind freaky and stuff. All in all, cool game.

yea alice was friggin kool too. oz looks awesome as well. its like a year or 2 away though.
