I've read numerous threads on this site as well as the official one regarding max end game enchantments. I don't want another fight over cost of end game gear or another fight over AD. I'm hoping someone can break this down for me: I'm a casual player who won't come close to maxing out daily AD. I will play the game regularly and wont spend much money on the game. I love PvP, which will be my endgame most likely. I will use the gear and enchants that drop in g ame. How much weaker will be I be playing the game than someone who has maxed gear at lvl 60? I understand this might be difficult to answer since so few probably have max end game gear. I'll be happy with generalities.

There are so many reasons to stay away from PVP in this game. I'm enjoying messing aournd with the foundry and slowly leveling my character but really don't feel much of a need to hurry and PVP is the last thing I want to do in this game.
You can get the max PvP gear just by doing PvP, like any other MMO. There's no link to the cash shop for that gear. A few minor enchant bonuses from someone who's spent $2000 for a full set of max gems isn't going to make much difference. At level 60, an extra 200 power, for example, is nothing... less than an extra 0.5% damage.
You will get the max gems eventually. You can get the wards without spending money and without spending AD for a 100% fuse, it'll just take a long time and lots of invocation.
So far nobody even attempted to answer your question regarding end-game enchants, besides the usual "you can run in a crap gear and stuff you don't really need enchants".
As you farm epic dungeons you collect shards, you will find many different kinds. Once you get 4 similar shards(like Frostburn for example) you can fuse them into 1 Lessser frostburn echantment with 1% success - unless you buy a coalescent ward for $10 worth of zen
You also need 4 lessers to make a normal, and 4 normals to make a greater one. Thats at least $160 for 1 one item slot.
These enchants are significant in power. As to hoow much weaker will you be to compared to someone out severely decked out with greater and normal enchants... while it's hard to give hard numbers right now, most likely they will wipe the floor with you.
Yes, you CAN get the coalescent wards out of 7 celestial coins but it is only a chance at getting one. You are far more likely to get a relatively useless Preservation Ward. The only other source is Nightmare Lockboxes and obvious those cost money too.
I dont' think so at all.
I've yet to even buy anything in game with the game's currency let alone feel the need to purchase anthing with real money.
I've been playing quests that are a few levels higher than my character and have had a few challenges but not many. Game is pretty easy. Granted I'm only in the early 20's at this point so can't answer anything endgame as of yet.

X% chance to reflect damage and debuff recovery...
X% chance on crit to stun target for Xs...
X% chance to increase groups damage resistance by X% for 10sec...
They all have timers on them as well controlling how often they can proc. Such as, can only trigger once every 1 minute.
Without upgrading your enchantments, you still have the same bonuses.. just not as high a percentage. If something can proc once every 1 minute.. someone with a 10% chance vs someone with a 5% chance isn't going to proc much more at all. They might proc a few seconds before you, then they are locked for 1 minute. 15 seconds later you might proc and be locked out for 1 minute. 45 seconds later they can proc again. It might take them 10 seconds to proc then they are locked out for 1 minute again. 5 seconds later you can proc and might proc in the next 5 seconds after that. Now you're in on 1 minute timer and your opponent is on a 50 second timer.
It would take fighting one on one for over 10 minutes, as a rough average, for them to get just 1 proc ahead. A one on one fight lasting more than 10 minutes is never going to happen. It's also possible, although not probable, for someone with a lower percentage to get ahead and proc faster.
Also, the game is just as much dependent on skill (or luck) as it is dependent on gear. A good player could easily out skill someones gear. Numbers are not king in this kind of combat.
The difference is not significant. It's as minor as it can possibly get.
The wards are also around 150000 AD on the AH, which at current rate is around 3.50 per. Since they are significantly cheaper than the Zen exchange, the drop rate is apparently good enough from other sources.
