NeverWinter and FW issue

Hi all,

It can be just an coincidence, but FW problems (and seems like all other PWE old game) started to be weird near open NW beta, and goes worse.

I have no idea what happen to PWE tech support but FW got like 3 week-ends of constant crashes (last weekend was the worst with servers up for like 15 min before reboot and kick all out).

I'll copy/paste an open letter to PWE from FW forum, user: cireneila1
before mods will del whole topic.

Just keep you all informed about what going on at FW and PWE in general.

Here is a letter:

Dear PWE staff,

the last few months made me write this open letter to you. I think, that you can guess what I'm aiming for. On the other hand, I doubt, that a PWE staff member will read it. You know what, I don't care, because I'm and most other players are used of being ignored by PWE staff.

I will start with a question. Are you going to continue running the game like now? You may have noticed, that the DC problem isn't as worse as on the weekend. I don't think, that this is the result of the hard work of the ISP engeneers only. It's because of the much more lower player activity. The realms are nearly empty at some times and many guilds are dried out.

It's ridiculous, that the players and mods need to gather informations about the current situation from the forums of other PWE games. Here in the FW forum the communication of PWE dropped nearly to zero. This in combination with the long row of problems and fails make many people think, that the game is short before being dead.

So, what are you going to change? I'm not talking about compensations or a "bogo-to-please-the community" action. I'm talking about, if FW will get a fulltime admin and not a "Sry for the inconvenience" or "servers are up/down" staff like now. Or in general, what will PWE do to raise the quality of FW and what are you thinking to do to regain trust?

I really hope, that I'll be surprised by PWE in a positve way.

The following is for some players:
I'm aware, that FW is just a game. And if you think "You don't like it, than leave", than let me explain, why I don't leave. First, I think, that FW isn't a bad game in general. The other thing is, that I like my guild very much. Many of us put a lot of time into it and it's sad to see, that due to the current situation many guildies stopped playing 'til it's solved or stopped playing completely. As a guildleader, I have to show presence in game and I have no problem with it. And guess, what would happen, if a guildleader stop playing in such a situation. It would be the death of the guild (as far as I know, it happen to some other guilds alrdy). And as I said before, FW isn't a bad game.

I know, that there are many people defending PWE, because the DC problem is an ISP related probelm. Sry, but if a company like Perfect World with a revenue of 679.9mil US$ isn't able to force it's ISP to solve such a problem faster, than it's kinda "weak" (btw, I'm able to say so, because the company I work for have had a comparable problem in the past. And the ISP was able to fix the problem within 24h. Ofc, you have to put some work in it, you need to make a lot of pressure. And my company is far away from Perfect Worlds revenues)

try before buy, even if it's a game to avoid bad surprises.
Worst surprises for me: Aion, GW2
