I'm about to buy a new laptop and was wondering how it would run Wildstar. In their FAQ it says:
Q: What are the system requirements?
A: We do not know the final system requirements for WildStar, but to participate in the beta test, these are the minimum specifications:
Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT, ATI Radeon HD 3850, or better
The laptop I'm looking to buy has a NVIDIA® GeForce® GT 630M with 2GB DDR3. I tried to compare them at the NVIDIA site but they don't show a 8800 that I could find. Is it just a numbering change and I'll be ok, or should I worry?

To exercise power costs effort and demands courage. That is why so many fail to assert rights to which they are perfectly entitled - because a right is a kind of power but they are too lazy or too cowardly to exercise it. The virtues which cloak these faults are called patience and forbearance.
I think the 630M will handle WildStar in low res. The 2GB of ram worries me, if you can I would up grade it to 4GB ram as Windows OSs use around 1.5GB of the ram just to run. This may slow game play way down or be unplayable for you depending on how much ram WildStar needs to run.
Edt: Sorry there seen the 2GB of ram and was thinking system ram instead of video ram. Me for reading it too fast.
The card has 2gb of ddr ram.

No, buy a 650.
A 650m is not a whole lot better though.
