Looking for a new MMO to play , hoping to find one with an older playerbase. Facts or opinions welcome, any suggestions are appreciated. I'm in my 30's now, if that helps.

everquest is the oldest
everquest 2 average is probably mid 30s
average WoW player in the US is around 31
subscription games in general will trend older.
Some PvP games will have a reasonably older crowd that act like they are 15 (WoW is full of these too)
sadly I cant find Nick Yee's fascinating WoW study from a few years ago. Some of his old data is kicking around, but he did a study in 2010 and 2011 that showed a drastic difference in NA and Asia in both m/f distribution and age. Average age in asia was like 22% with a very narrow bell curve and in the US it was (I think) 31 with a very broad bell curve. Asia was 85% male while US was 65% or so (and women WoW players were growing in % every year)
There are also interesting eq2 studies floating around. EQ2 players (especially women) tend to be better physically healthy than average, but are more likely to be depressed. Women also play more hours a week than men and are more likely to lie about it.
The answer is : it's impossible as a normal ppl to find this with any legit way . I mean how? our past experience playing the game and meeting tons of communities with older average age? We cant be sure .
This would be possible assuming people are honest on their basic profile information, which most of us never be.

Somehow, at least I would hope, I doubt Darkfall has an "older" crowd. Viewing the forums here....and on their own forums, if that is consistent with an older crowd, then I must be young again.
From my experience TSW has a pretty old community; in my time there I hardy found anyone below late twenties, more often than not older than that. It´s weird if you feel like a kid with 21 years in comparison to most people around you

While I disagree about the sub games thing. The first 3 are definitely about right. WoW and EQ2 released 9 years ago now, and have demographics of about your age.

MUDs, easily. (Having attended both Blizzcon and Simucons, I have rough visual confirmation of generally anecdotal evidence :P)
Self-pity imprisons us in the walls of our own self-absorption. The whole world shrinks down to the size of our problem, and the more we dwell on it, the smaller we are and the larger the problem seems to grow.

Hands down its The Secret World. The game is more for the older mature folk. The youngest Guild member we have is 28. There was a survey once on forums and the average age ended up being 34 f I remember correctly.
