Originally posted by MindTrigger I keep going back and checking on Defiance in the forums, hoping to hear some good news. There's NO news. Trion must have an internal disaster on their hands.
its a good question. they just released a patch with some storyline in it that was not a DLC. i hope they continue to add small bits of content like that as the game progresses. i think they made a mistake when they advertised it in any fashion as an mmo. they should have just kept to the online shooter forums and websites.
i will say that i got some bday money i wasn't expecting and found a cheaper copy so i am playing it now. i really enjoy the gameplay and the storyline. i still say they need more variety of activity, this was their downfall with Rift. now of course there is tons of content in Rift, but that first impression i think really did a lot of folks in running the same basic rifts, quests, and pvp over and over again.
the other thing that i think is just going to kill Defiance is absolutely no oneever speaks in chat. and for once that is not hyperbole. no one. ever. i dont get it. i know the chat interface is difficult for the console players, but i know there are plenty of pc players as well. but they just wont talk. blergh.
so to answer the OPs question ^.^
Rift
Defiance
Dragon's Prophet
with some mucking about in some more odd games for me. RO2 (the original Korean version that they scrapped was so much better), ShinMegamiTensei Imagine, TERA, FireFall beta, Neverwinter, and i even found a way to get into the asian beta for PhantasyStarOnline 2.

Vendetta Online. Dig the 40 minutes of gameplay, if you can. It's part of a large, collaboratively designed mission tree with branching storylines, repeatable cul-de-sacs etc... about 10 hrs in on a Serco character. The soundtrack is SeaMoon's "A Twisted Downbeat Adventure". The game's website is here:
ive seen a few of your posts on Vendetta. i just wanted to say its always good to see someone when they are enjoying themselves in an mmo. we do a lot of bitching around here, of course its b/c we love the medium of this type of game play so much. but sometimes the bitching doesnt remind us that we love it, instead it buries the one commonality on this site: we all enjoy mmos.
anyways, glad to see your having a good time and sharing that here.
Thanks for the good vibes, mang. Cheers

Still playing DDO (after seven years, the shine is starting to wear off for me, but still a fun game for now), Rift on occasion, LoTRO on rare occasion (hey, it's free so no harm in keeping it on the HDD), SWTOR when I'm feeling guilty about something and want to punish myself, and TSW for when I'm feeling a little Monty Pythonish (and now for something completely different).
Rift when I want to shoot things with my Marksman.
Play what you Like. I like SWOTR, Have a referral to get you going! --> http://www.swtor.com/r/nBndbs <-- Several Unlocks and a few days game time to make the F2P considerably easier
I am playing Vanguard: Saga of Heroes. I stopped playing MMOs altogether for a long time, and then I decided to give Vanguard a try, since I hadn't played it before. I am having a pretty good time in there, playing casually.

Originally posted by Theocritus I find myself playing older MMOs much more than the newer ones.....I have mainly been playing Anarchy Online, Everquest, and Eternal Lands.
I am re-installing EQ even as I type this. I had an idea for something to do in that game.
At least I am not the only one playing the older titles.
im currently playing on and off Defiance, The Secret World and Rift. Went back to GW2 today and might keep playing it along with the other two games. Again, on and off.
1) WOW (Daily with some friends, mostly pvp but i'm already geared just waiting on friends to catch up for arena.)
2) Rift (just getting back into this game for the first time sense shortly after launch and really enjoying it.)
3) Defiance (idk weekly i like to catch the episodes)
Other than that...there a few exciting games on the horizon.... but i no longer let myself get excited about (Or buy) games before I play them so: Wildstar, Eso, Archage...yeah well see because until launch its all smoke and mirrors.

I just started playing league of legends after doing some searching for a good PVP game.
I know I'm about 3 years late to the party, but it's a really fun game and super easy to pick up.
