So, I am eternally bored with every game there is out on the market. I cannot find one that is the least bit of fun for me. So I thought I would ask you all about a couple games that you have played and are just utterly addicted to. That's what I want out of a game.. A game that I can come home from work and play until the early hours, and a game that will keep me hooked for a long time.

As nerdy as it may seem, the game that I have played the longest is Runescape. I know it wasn't because it was easily the best game on the roster, I just liked what all it had to offer. I could do multiple things, and it was all different from one another. That just really really appealed to me it seems. I am looking for a game like that, to be honest. If I don't feel like grinding out a million quests or running dungeons for gear, I would like to do something other then just stand around in town jumping over fountains and benches that are randomly placed around. See, with Runescape, If I felt bored of killing the same monster over and over again I would just go chop trees for Woodcutting experience while watching videos on YouTube or fish some high level fish to sell for people to have food in combat. It seemed that everything was well tied together and I loved the aspect of it. Now that I have ran my attention span for the game out, I am left feeling bored with anything I play, and just flat out tired of looking.

Now, for some games that I have played, and enjoyed..

Guildwars2

World of Warcraft

The Secret World

Rift

Defiance

Diablo 3

Allods Online

Runes of Magic

Requiem Bloodymare

Also, if you do list a game that I already have up there, please just give me a word on why you enjoy it. Most of those games I haven't played for quite a while and would be willing to go back to them if they sound interesting enough. :)

Other then that, I want to thank you for taking the time to read this ridiculously long post about me rambling about my problems. You are like my personal shrink, and thank you for any answers you are able to give. =)

Try Neverwinter. It's a lot of fun. I wouldn't make it my "main" MMO tho.

Dragon's Prophet goes to open beta on May 30th from the same guys that made Runes of Magic.  You may like it as well.

Do you have Steam? There are a number of free-to-play mmos on there, you could kill some time checking some of them out, and who knows, maybe you'll find one you like.

If you haven't tried EVE you could try that. It has a lot of different things you can do. It's quite a slow game though, so watching youtube videos while you do anything other than pvp is probably a good idea. lol I used to do college homework while I was mining way back in the day.

I would also recommend giving Vanguard a shot if you haven't already.

It has a big open world, and although I couldn't get into it, I would suggest checking it out, it is free-to-play now, after all.

Vanguard is definitely a good game to try. It has some really great gameplay. The only issue IMO are the low population levels compared to a new release title (that was released correctly lol).

Also I actually created a wiki for Vanguard detailing where to find all the dungeons, and began to catalog the various dungeons I found. It's half finished, but still nice to see how many dungeons are actually in the game and exactly where to find them. ;)

I've played since beta, i still love the game, it's got it's faults but imo along with EQ has the best races and classes of any mmo i've played and i've play a hella lot.

Vanguards has over 100 non instanced(it has no instances) dungeon and some are vast and span many levels and days to complete, some might take a week or weeks.

Dungeons within dungeons, outside and inside and in the sky.

You can't go wrong with EQ2 the content is immense and second to none IMO.

I agree. Would you like to give me a server so we can play on? I'm definitely going to need a friend in this epic-to-scale game. Any help there would be appreciated. =)

Smite, League of Legends, console and hand held games, you can probably DL an emulator on your computer and play hundreds of retro games for free, from SNES to Sega, even PS1. Okami must be played, and if you have access to a PSP, Dissidia is the best fighting game... EVAR.

Before you criticize someone, walk a mile in their shoes.
That way, if they get angry, they'll be a mile away... and barefoot.

Did you read the OP? You are way off topic.

For Vanguard try Telon server it's the best for US customers. As for EQ2 the US servers are all medium pop at peak hours while the PvP is low. Im playing Vanguard a bit but it feels empty since the world is so huge, and most new players are on newbie isle.

I've never had a comp that would run EQ2 in high setting at a decent fps. My cores are 3.4ghz but Im still only able to run it in balanced and it only uses cpu power mostly and only one core, it's quite sad since the game is great but I hate the performance.

It seems you 'suffer' the same problem I have. I just can't enjoy MMORPGs anymore. After 8/9 years of playing mediocre MMOs I just had enough. And luckely I know what the problem is for me. I won't go in to detail because I'm already way off-topic. You can always give me a PM if you're interested in my thoughts...

What I did though is playing a lot of single player games which I never enjoyed because I mainly played MMORPGs. I play them on the PS3 but you can basically play them on any console/pc.

Op is soo on my wave..These past 2 months all I play gets so boring so quickly..I keep spending oodles of $$ on games I haven't played just to quit them the next evening.Lol, just bought Battlefield 3 and played it for 2 hours to uninstall it ( must be mad rofl never even liked FPSs)..

I really miss the old WoW, all the rare pets, mounts & achievements I'd spend weeks to grind with no lament whatsoever.. Logged in recently and the graphics made my eyes bleed. Every other title just doesn't strive to make you interested (well, maybe SWTOR pre-CM).

Gosh do I need a new age WoW.. Hope Carbine brings Wildstar on soon (or sends me a beta to one of my numerous mails lol..yeah, not gonna happen :().

Meantime, gonna join Op and see Dragon's Profits, hope it's good enough to keep me up at least to the weekend.
