Never bought stronghold 3 due to bad reviews, and even now years later the game seems to have been abandoned. How could such incompetence creep into a successful franchise? Probably because companies think employees are replaceable, and they are not wholly incorrect. But, they need to work harder at retaining talent.
A few brilliant minds and unwavering dedication are at the core of most successful ventures, whether they be new democratic governments or new game studios. Over time, the talent washes out and is replaced with less capable persons. The end result is a product (or government) which is continually in decline.
Part of me wanted to blame the decline on increasingly entitled youth. The up and coming developers today are less dedicated, motivated, and capable than developers of old. But I think this may be harsh at best and wholly incorrect at worst.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.

In F2P I think it's more a case of the game's trying to play the player's. -laserit
