last night was the last day of free to play weekend. i had to wait until 12-6 in order to play again with my old acc (new accounts only gets 30 days free from raptr). so i decided to wright this in the official RIFT forums:

 

ty very much TRION for giving us, the old subs, the chance to play free this weekend. i have a great time already with friends and guild mates. so if i was to ask something more, it would be...PLS LET US CONTINUE PLAY UNTIL 12-6...8 days is too much time to wait...

and after a few hours i got this answer from GM Elrar :

Consider it done. RIFT is now FREE to Play for all owners - everyone else can enjoy RIFT Free-to-Play when it launches with RIFT 2.3: Empyreal Assault next week, June 12!

Trion has consistently shown they stick up for gamers.  While their game quality is something for debate, the company themselves have bent over historically and this is just as cool.  It's the little things that matter.

I posted on that forum too (I never EVER post there).  As an annual subber, I approve of this.

This is why I think Trion needs to focus on publishing and not development.  They are the best publisher you can ask for and I am super excited about trying Archage.

tbh i dont care about the reason. i only know that they listened and they allow us to continue play and have fun.

My guess is they saw the influx of players. Along with Raptr allowing people to upgrade to SL for free, Trion must be smacking their lips and excited about how things are going

They don't want to lose the momentum and have people stop playing for even a week

Good on you Trion! Nice to see a company utilizing dexterity to adjust to how the players are reacting.

Now .. if you could just fix my inability to post in the official forums!

Sweet...I've been having fun tooling around by myself with my old 50th level rogue. Think I might restart though to get used to the trees again...I only have one level 50 and a few alts so i still had plenty to learn.

Quick question....I tried asking in game but was told to do what i was already doing. Anyway...the quests leading up to Storm Legion stuff sends you north to Ice watch. The daily there has you re-enforce by placing a ballista and barricades. The ballista goes down fine when i click on the green glowing rune indicator...but when I continue to try to lay the barricades, 3 in total, all it does is keep laying down ballista. On the map the star markings say that those spots are for the quests to lay barricade but it just keeps placing the ballista. Anyone know what I'm doing wrong ?  I'd like to progress to the next part of the quest chain.

Trion and RIFT are amazing and I only have good things about them since 2011 when I first pre ordered.

i always felt the same about both RIFT and TRION and i m having much fun since i returned to game. hoping for more in the future
