Hello, I have been playing mmos for a lot of years and I am actually
looking for the mmo that fits my playstyle, I have played dozens of
them but still cant find the perfect one for me. I left playing eve
because I prefer playing 3rd person mmo (controlling a character)
I would like to know that mmo do you recommend me (It doesnt have to be
released yet). These are things that I like and love to have in the game. I wouldnt mind to also discover a MMORTS or MMOFPS if there is no MMORPG as I describe;
- Open world (no instanced areas )
Like WoW
Not like Neverwinter
- Open PvP that affects Gameplay, sandbox style
Like EVE Online,Warhammer
- Big Playerbase
- Factions (or player-created factions)
Like Wow, Allods, EvE
- Dont mind if game is F2P or P2P
- Longevity (mmo should not be disappearing)
- Game Events (sieges, invasions or whatever)
- Possibility of playing "short games" when I dont have much time (like WoW Battlegrounds, Arenas, LoL Moba..)
I also love travelling, exploring new areas, enjoying a sunset, a rainy storm, beautiful and open landscapes, finding a house at the end of the world, I want to feel experiences out there
If helps, I like offline games like Fable, Legacy of Kain ..
MMOS that I've enjoyed most so far (but still not perfect)
1. WoW
2. Warhammer Online
3. Eve Online
4. Tera
5. Allods
6.Tibia
Maybe There is no a game like the one I am describing, but I am looking
for the closest MMO to this idea.
Sorry for my english.

" Vanguard "
MAGA
vanguard does not have PVP
There is nothing out there at the moment that would tick all your boxes..
Darkfall:UW is worth a look i guess but its just a shadow of the origional game..
Few games have absolutely no instanced areas nowadays. Maybe try GW2? It doesn't have FFA world PvP, but its WvW can be quite fun. It has sieges, upgradable castles and such.

It also has incredibly detailed environments, so exploration is fun in addition to being quite rewarding XP wise.
What it doesn't have is a gear grind, so you should probable only play it if you don't mind not getting major stat bonuses all the time. Most of its endgame rewards are purely cosmetic.
games you should look into
TESO (elder scrolls, 3 faction pvp)
Wildstar (WoW 2.0 in space)
The next everquest (everquest in a sandbox is the expectation)
personally, since vanilla WoW was my favorite game to date I am closely following Wildstar. Im looking forward to 40 man raids that require teamwork, constructing my own house, being in a raiding guild but having an RP social circle, having sidequests geared towards my characters playstyle ala the paths system.
I also loved the ideas behind WAR but it needed 3 factions... had that happened I would have never quit. (tome of knowledge was amazing)
I would be subbed to City of Heroes right now... but apparently having decent numbers means shutting the game down =(
If you liked rvr in war, ps2 is all rvr and much better done than both war and gw2.
