First of all, thanks for getting this on my radar mate!

Never really got much into part 1 nor 2, I love the atmosphere and lore, but some how it just didn't keep a hold of me.

But seeing these clips, I'm getting hyped lol, they really got me at the 'open world' screen :P

Can't wait to score my PS4 and see where all this brings us!

Heh, no problem, i think this game deserves more than 1 mln sold copies, folks at CD Projekt Red treats gamers as gamers should be treated, ofc every game has flaws, but overall The Witcher 2 was an ultimate experience.

I like one comment from the Youtube :)

"When? any other developer/publisher says they are breaking ground and redefining genres I call bullshit, when these guys say it I completely fucking believe it."

And i really understand him, it's CD Projekt, they can and i hope they will redefine the RPG.

Also keep an eye on Cyberpunk 2077 ;)

I have to say I loved the world and setting but hated the world design (how it was set up not the art design). This "open world" game will definitely be a huge improvement.

    It already look incredible. Thanks!

Witcher 1 and 2 was all about lore not much exploration like in Skyrim, thats why dem have closed world. Now on the other hand, CD Projekt Red wants to make an impossible, they want to create a big open world with the intensive lore. It will be like Skyrim meets Witcher 2 and make a baby ;).

Now the question is, can they deliver?

The one thing that makes witcher fantastic in my opinion are the dialogues and choices - they create an epic atmosphere.

The trailers here are lacking of those but that is understandable, it wouldn't be a good idea to spoil the story like that.

I stopped the second trailer after a min. There is just too much of "this is the best rpg ever" talk in it - I don't want the best ever I just want a proper witcher title like the 2 before.

This kind of hyping by the dev isn't necessary at all. The fans know what to expect.

Not only that but your decisions really do visit you later in the game.

The first two games were not about exploration but lore and story plus decisions than world design.  For me the witcher series blows every other rpg out the window for story and questing and looks especially the witcher 2.

Now we come to what most lightly will be the last one in the series and now we get to explore and see the whole world while still keeping the essence of what the witcher is all about.

Looking forward to some great modding with TW3 as well.

If more devs were like CDProjekt we would have more fantastic games.

Oh and let's not forget Cyberpunk 2077, this game will be a masterpiece.

CDProjekt are the new BioWare from Europe, this is what BioWare lost along the way.

Oh and did i mentioned TW3 is the best CE box i've ever bought.

    Definitely excited for this!

Even though The Witcher 1 & 2 were undoubtedly great games, being locked into certain maps consisting of pathways always rubbed me the wrong way, more so than in other games of that type. I think it was because the game had a camera perspective closer to your character or something, not sure.

I still have to finish nr. 2 for that reason.

Having an open world will probably fix it for me.

Feel free to use my referral link for SW:TOR if you want to test out the game. You'll get some special unlocks!

Yes that too but I also mean the dialogues and how they help you to get a feeling for the characters. An example is that drinking scene with Dandelion and Zoltan. I burst out laughing several times because of the statements and views of these 3 friends.

Hell I work in a clinic for alcoholics and we had one Polish guy who could have been Zoltan's twin brother and I loved that guy just for looking and talking like Zoltan.

That's how much the characters grew on me.

So you don't expect Geralt to age, the beard fits great.

I started the first game, but thought the controls were crap.

Are the controls in the 2nd crap too?

“It's unwise to pay too much, but it's worse to pay too little. When you pay too much, you lose a little money - that's all. When you pay too little, you sometimes lose everything, because the thing you bought was incapable of doing the thing it was bought to do. The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot - it can't be done. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.”

Lol yes so true, CD are the best and they are one of the few companies I still have complete faith in when it comes to brilliant games. Let's pray together it'll be the next masterpiece! ;)

Also keep an eye on Cyberpunk 2077 ;)

uhm DUH!! Cyberpunk has never left my radar, another brilliant IP. Can't wait to see actual gameplay footage.

Guess I just missed out on The Witcher, because it never got hold of me in terms of gameplay, nonetheless I shall dig up my copies and reinstall them to see if I can grasp the storyline, quite surely part 3 will continue on the previous?

But lol thanks anyway! Finally a proper member on this site! Well done lad.

If they create  RPG settled in open world with the quality of storyline like in The Witcher 1 and The Witcher 2, with all those exploration stuff from open world rpgs and if they combine them we will have the ultimate RPG of all times.

One of the main downsides of the open world rpgs is very very very bad story, like in Skyrim. Story in Skyrim is nowhere near the story of The Witcher, but the gameplay and all that stuff You can do inside the Skyrim wins. But imagine that in The Witcher 3 we will have deep, mature and immersive story like in previous Witcher series combined with the Skyrim gameplay. Our balls will just explode.

From what i heard the world of The Witcher 3 is gonna be approximately 20% bigger than Skyrim, with no loading screens(even on consoles) packed with content, and atm it will provide minimum 100 hours gameplay and i'm sure it will have a lot more than 100 hours by release. As CD Projekt Red developer's said, this part of The Witcher series is a conclusion(last part of the series) so they want to make it as epic and huge as possible, so players can remember it forever. Also i think the open world they will use in The Witcher 3 is a preparation for the massive open world (or rather open city) in Cyberpunk 2077.

I hope they can deliver all they promissed and will probably promise in the next months untill release, i want this game to be succesful, because developers like them deserve every penny they charge for a game. They treat adult players like adults, they don't insult our inteligence by immature stories etc., they treat their customers well with free dlc, no drms and relatively cheap prices, also they put gamers(customers) at 1st place, not the wallets, gamers!

Maybe i can sound like a fanboy, especially when this company is from my country so i want them to success twice more than other ppl, but You can't deny they are like prophets of the new rpg era right now, and we will see where the new Witcher and Cyberpunk 2077 bring us, gamers.

I see You have Mount&Blade in Your games, You also should check Gloria Victis, another polish production. It will be MMO based on raw, low fantasy, medival dark ages. They are heavly inspired by Gothic series ;). Just check Gloria Victis MMO on google ;)

Cant wait for part 3 myself. I recently finally finished part 1 and beat 2 since ive had them on Steam for ages. Hope some of the choices at the end of 2 come back into play in 3 if the saves are imported which i'm sure they are.

I agree with a couple of others. I just could not get into the games because they weren't open enough despite the story, lore and fantastic graphics. I also found the controls difficult for me. It just never felt right. To be honest, I'm wondering for this and ESO if I should just get a PS4 next year and play them on that.

    There Is Always Hope!

The game looks amazing. I've recently re-run through the first and second games to get my perfect save file ready for the third, and I've even begun reading the books. Needless to say, nerdgasms everywhere for this upcoming title.

Also, kinda glad they've still got a while left before release. Gives us broke-ass folk time to gather cash for the equip. to run the beast!!
