looking for a friend rather

I'll explain, I've played so many mmo's ive lost count but the only thing that ever kept me playing anything thus far were friends if I made any, these things always tend to fade over time though sadly.... I dont think its too weird to reach out or ask for friends to play with yet to be made.

What im looking for is someone who is interested in duo-ing an mmo mostly - its not required to just be two people but I just think that would be cool for some reason, two people who have each others back in an mmo at all times?

I am just wondering if anyone else is looking for this type of thing and perhaps we can start playing something together?

 

We could discuss which game and all that then too.

I put up this thread to most of all just find a duo gaming buddy rather than a group of people or a guild or starting one , as I would've simply joined one then and as I have been able to find a gaming buddy to duo with this thread pretty much served its personal purpose for me.

However I encourage everyone to continue communicating as they please be it in on in this thread or elsewhere as it seems there are many of you craving people to play with , set up together what you will

Great idea!  I hate soloing so often in these MMOs even though the idea is your supposed to play with others.   I suggest we would start an MMO neither one of us is currently playing.

I found joining a multi game community was the answer to that problem for me.  Over the 8 or so years I've been in the guild Ive made lots of friends who don't always play the same games as me but because we're in the same over all guild we often run into each other over and over again.

It's also nice never having to look for a guild in a new mmo.

The problem with these plans is that it's always so difficult for different people to agree on one game for the long term.  Would be nice theoretically though.  When you actually have a decent group committed to one game, the game itself almost doesn't matter.  The people make all the difference.

What a great idea! I am finding myself in kind of the same situation as you and would love to be able to have a gaming friend or friends to quest/mission with. If I can be a part of this then let me know.

Ive actually got some eyes on the secret world right now but its just an idea. 

What matters to me most is the sticking together in a game, that is what I am looking for. ^^

Just wanted to say I think its cool you came to mmorpg and asked this. I know there are some jackwagons on here like myself but there are also alot of smart, respectable, and patient people here too. Good Move and good luck finding a gaming buddy.

I'm ok with either B2P, F2P, or P2P.  The only P2P I have going on is Vanguard premium account (although the game is F2P).  B2P I have Secret World, TERA, RIFT, GW2.  Let me know...

how we guinna get this started? we need somewhere other than a forum and set date to discuss what game etc. I have Tera and GW2 characters other than that i dont mind starting new either. Arcane Saga looks nice visually anyways

First of all, i highly suggest playing The Secret World. It's a really fun MMO that is severely underated.  And i'd be more than happy to play with you, its just my computer is not the best so whenever i pick a new game i have to factor in how well it will run on my computer. I can pretty much play any game though i do have some fps problems with rift (during zone events really, but then again apparently a lot of people do even with higher end computers.)  i've played a lot of mmo's, and im actually trying out scarlet blade right now. Feel free to message me if you want to play sometime

We should form a guild name now so that once we decide on the game we can form up easier. So we need Game, Server, Guild name. Suggestions?

Well i was thinking of forming th guild then holdign a poll to see what game to try rifts new F2P looks promising there are so many options thats why we need a forum of our own to discuss

I also suggest TSW. I have a character on there in the starting area but haven't done much with her.  I think we need to chose the same faction to ally with or whatever they call it in this game.
