Edit - i'd actually be disappointed now if they werent spending stupid amounts on money watching me!

lol right? Every time the "big brother is watching you" stuff comes up I say "go ahead! I have nothing to hide".

exactly.. that and the "always connected to the internet" seriously, if you have that much trouble with your internet that it's down for longer then 24 hours at a time, you have much bigger concerns then PS4 or xbox one... seriously, get your net fixed it's an issue and the argument is draining my soul...

the whole used games thing isnt finalized yet and microsoft tends to listen to the masses when it comes to billions of dollars they could potentially loose, but honestly like i care, i dont trade my games, i dont lend them out... people tend to not care so much about property that isnt theirs and i like my things kept in pristine condition...

i like the fact i'll be able to stream and use twitch while i'm playing games... i like the fact that if i get bored i can jump instantly into a movie i was watching and jump back to the game if i feel the need, seamlessly and instantly, i like that i can skype with friends while playing games and have no need to wear a headset anymore... it's all convienience and all the negatives people are pointing out actually make me wonder, why are you so scared that the camera is watching.

i actually hope they announce premium bundles like they did in aus for the xbox 360, i got my console, extra control, 1 year of gold live and like 4 launch titles for $950 or something, i would happily drop another $900 if i could get the system, extra control year of gold and a few launch titles because to me it's worth it and none of the things people are complaining about are a real problem to me...

as far as the PS4 is more powerful argument, sorry but it really isnt.... the fact that the graphics processing power in realtime is basically on par with each other and the xbox can still seamlessly run background processes and programs and switch between it all instantly is actually miles ahead of PS4 and also, the fact that microsoft's demos actually run at 60fps as advertised and looked amazing.. compared to Ps4 looking like it was about to die and having some serious frame issues going on near the end of some demos.. makes me feel like the hardware isnt as pro as all the PS4 fans keep going on about...

my money is once again on xbox one although i'll end up having both consoles anyway.

really don't understand how you managed to misinterpret the Xbox 1 as somehow being more powerful than the PS4 now, the facts have been out now for quite a while, the GPU on the PS4 is around 50% more powerful than the one in the Xbox 1 and the system ram in the PS4 is DDR 5 vs DDR3, not only that, but of the 8gb of ram the Xbox 1 has, only 5gb of it is available for games. After E3 the case for buying an Xbox 1 died a significant death, Sony absolutely pwned Microsoft and if anyone actually buys the Xbox 1 now i would be surprised.

As for the privacy issue regarding the Xbox 1, if it can be used to do something, it will be used. And if anyone had any doubts about that, just remember what happened recently involving the NSA.image

i never said more powerful except when it comes to multitasking and such... graphic processing power regardless of how you wanna say GDDR5 VS 3, they are still on par with each other and as for the demo's at E3 xbox one was far more stable and fluid then the PS4, you need to take into account timings n such on the ram also, just because one has 5 doesnt make it better when it's higher latency etc... the ingame demos of both systems looked on par but the xbox one performed better with less issues

Most people are only interested in playing games on those consoles. Multitasking between OS and game like on a pc, is ridulous to have on a console if you are not interested in the online internet and tv crap. For this PS4 is simply the better out of 2. Microsoft also doesn't seem to realise how they made their potential market smaller, because a lot of the services they want to offer next to gaming, simply won't work in large parts of the world outside of the US. Add to that, the PS4 is cheaper.

It is possible that Xbox One will become more popular then PS4 in the US. But outside the US, I highly doubt it.

again in the demo the games performed better on "one" then on PS4, it's your opinion that people arent interested in internet and streaming and all the rest of it... just because the vocal minority has cried out with all the conspiracy theory nonsense, doesnt mean that the majority of people arent still interested in xbox one or vice versa for that matter...

[mod edit]. I never wrote that people are not interested in internet and streaming. Just not on a console. They already have these functions. And in many countries Microsoft cant or will not offer the same services as in the US. Or they are simply not interesting enough compared to what is already available (which in my country and most of Europe is the case).

Why did you start about conspiracy theory nonsense? I didn't even mention anything like that.

The Xbox One has face recognition. It stores your face the first time you install the game, then he looks at you everytime you start the game. If the player is someoneelse with another random face the game won't run. TheXbox One will check for all the faces in the room only allowing you and another one. So the games are tied forever to your face.

Sony has confirmed THEY will not lock games on a hardware level, but the publisher has the right to impose hardware / software restrictions on a DRM level on their software...

have you been misinformed or something?

You said it in red. That is what makes Sony's stance so much more consumer friendly than MS. I'm not sure why you are having trouble understanding that.

I don't know if you realize this, but you are the one that was saying the used game thing isn't finalized and asserting that Microsoft tends to listen to the masses. They never said that Sony gives a fuck about anyone. However, we already know PS4's stance on used games and it's very consumer friendly.

I think you are misinformed because that is exactly how it works right now on all consoles.

Difference is that Microsoft has put in hardware locks, Sony did not. (**for the next generation)

microsoft has also said they are looking into ways of trading games, like there might be a built in system for selling the rights to your game digitally, nothing is set in stone at this point and it's all been quite vague about what the actual case is

Ignored my reply to throw some other silly argument at me, ok i play:

Why not just leave it the way it is now? What is wrong with the current system and does the new one that they MAYBE implement improve my experience? Right now, i can NOT trade, lend, or resell my games on XBOX One. End of story.

PS:What's next? Telling me that Microsoft is thinking 10 years ahead and they made a console for the future most people do not understand the greatness today? Because that is what they are trying to spin right now since they know they fucked up and have no way to salvage this sunken ship.

Aye and thats something the player or Sony cannot stop.
Unless all gamers boycot those same publishers this might became a reality.
But at least i can play a single player game without needing to have internet and can setup a lan party.

And thats something Microsoft prevents us from doing.

Microsoft XBOX One: [voice] Remain EXACTLY where you are! Make NO move until you are ordered!

[The Microsoft Kinect LED lights up]

Not to mention simply saying something is not enough to incriminate yourself so long as you're not making verbal threats to a person.

But... This is the internets. The paranoid folks will probably think I'm a government goon trying to cover up our master plan.

    /sigh.

Also you can play games offline with PS4 Ren.

Well until the PS4 get "wave your hands handsfree interface" i am out.

    Why you ask...

Because there is nothing the PS4 can do that my PC does not do better(apart form playing Gran Turismo... my PC does not do that very well at all)... So if i am going to invest in a console it should at least have some fun gimmics to justify my spendings.

The X-Box1 currently tick that box with the kinect interface... Sorry but that is how simple it is.

The added bonus of a direct line to the NSA for me to air my greviances about US gun control is just a milkshake to dip my fries in.... Mmmmm... Yummy milkshake....

Any way i am glad that people who just want a gaming console have a choice in the PS4... That way i have a valid place to point them at when they bicker about the X-Box1 not having this or that "essential gamer feature"

This have been a good conversation
