My friends and I are now looking at our games with a small frown. I am eagerly awaiting the next beta where I can try the rest of the crafting classes, and hopefully even get my first job.

 

Also, there's so much I want to explore now, so much I want to know just by playing it. Interviews and trailers won't do it for me anymore, no sir.

The way I understood the roll out, they intend to load our 1.00 characters next week, otherwise I'd be crying foul on the short beta. There is a lot of enthusiasm for this game right now and they need to strike while the iron is hot. It might not have been in their plan but leave beta up  from now on unless they have a very pressing need to pull the servers down.

Well I think they do weekends so they can focus on analyzing data and making corrections afterwards without having to worry about keeping the game running.

They should allow us a character generator to play with while we wait for beta weekend 2.

Yoshi-P did say that the last benchmark that they put out will have a built in character generator so you can save it to file for release. Assuming they will not do a character wipe between beta phase 4 and launch I would have to guess the benchmark would be releasing some time between now and the start of phase 4.
