No one is brainwashed over endgame. Endgame matters in MMOs, which is why the majority of GW2 servers are dead because players have nothing to do.
Haha, thanx you made milk come out of my nose!
Which part? Servers are dead or players have nothing to do part?
Do me a favor, go to Lion's Arch the so called "populated" area and you will see more NPCs than players.
It's heavily populated in my server. If you don't like the game there is no need to lie, just say "I don't like X game".
Off course I don't like the game, it is one of the worst MMOs I played (Along with FFXIV 1.0 and STO). I can list 10 - 15 stats about how badly it failed. But my point was that GW2 had no longevity due to the fact that there was no end game. The OP tried to suggest that end game doesn't matter. But it does and it is the most important part of MMOs.
It's ok you didn't like it and ok that you have a list of 10-15 things you don't like about it, I agree that endgame is important. But...lying about the game is not going to give your statements any credibility.
It is not a list of things I don't like. It is a list of facts about how badly the game is doing. Here is one, go to the Mists and see how many people are on sPvP servers. Across all servers during peak times you will find a maximum of 200-300 players. Yes, that is all there is. Shocking I know. That is one, if you want more of these facts that you can also check yourself let me know.
Lie again....I play spvp almost every day. There are more than 200-300 during peak times(not counting tourneys and wvw which is a different form of pvp.). Don't try to make stuff up I actually play the game.
You can check it out yourself right now. Go right ahead and log into the Mists. It will take you about 2-3 minutes to count it.
This isn't peak times...and it still probably has more ppl there than most mmo arenas. And I can assure you there are tons of folks playing wvw right now as well. There is endgame, that you don't like it is another thing.
Even during non-peak times, 200-300 players are terrible. Most generic F2P Chinese games have more players than that in structured PvP. As I said, don't believe me, go check these facts out yourself.
GW2 combat is clunky, unresponsive and dated and isn't truly action combat. I hope WildStar's combat feels better.

AHH - what planet are you from? Unresponsive based on what? GW2 does have action combat and that is why many people dislike it - they want to plant and cast. WS just feels MEH - not that impressive (more like WoW).
LOL GW2 dead - that IS a laugh - say I got some swampland in Arizona to sell you cheap - it will be the coast once California falls off into the ocean.

GW2 is not action combat it is a hybrid between tab/target and action combat. It is basically a tab/target game with a aimbot mechanic. Tera and Nevewinter are action combat games.
Unresponsive based on the fact it is unresponsive. Try starfing in GW2 really quickly, you will see how unresponsive and clunky it is. One of the major reasons it failed big time in terms of eSports and sPvP.

Go see Neverwinter off peak, or Orgrimmar (yeah still) at least 20 times as much ppl there. Even in the middle of the night there are more ppl in Orgrimmar than a couple of dozen.

It's called PVE culling...unless i run close to the players, they wont render. It's to stop lag from having too many players on your screen. lol.
yes, the reason you see none is because they dont want pc to lag from seeing them all.

Two problems with that statement. First Neverwinter is brand new, and second Orgrimmar is full of elites with nothing else to do but sit and chat showing off their gear and mounts.

Originally posted by Blackaddera As I've played GW2 I can tell you this: I finished the story at lvl 57 with ease, not at 60 to get to 60 from 57 I had to grind mobs. And let me tell you this about 3 top lvls grinding: BORING! I mean I had to kill about 5-6k mobs for it. Wildstar looks like a great game, just hope it's not to easy.
This post bothers me to no end with the misinformative lies. First let's clarify that 60 is NOT max-level in GW2, level 80 is. To finish the Personal Story you have to do Arah (a level 80 dungeon) in Story mode, and it's doubtful that a group would take a a level 77 -3 levels below, as you mentioned- unless it's a guild group.
Another thing about your post is the insinuation that there's massive 1,000-mob grind in GW2, which there's not. The developers at A.Net really fight hard against mob-farming in their game and try to push players into doing the Dynamic Events. Each of the personal story sections gain a player 1/2-3/4 a level, and there are 6 sections for levels 78 through 80.
Please, read up on a game you try to claim to have "played" before you spread lies about it. It makes you look foolish when you're completely incorrect as you are.
Originally posted by Battlerock Well this is apples and oranges. Wildstar is better compared to WoW they are both Jack of all Trades games. GW2 is a pvp only game.
I know it's Apples and Oranges as far as the game's aimed content on certain levels. But this is a comparison of combat and quest mechanics in each game. Wildstar claims to be a heavily action-oriented game with it's "Combat Telegraphs", so it's fair to compare it to another action-oriented game like Guild Wars 2.
And GW2 is far from a PvP only game. Sure it does have sPvP and WvW, but there's a bountiful plethora of PvE content to be had as well. Level's 1-80 worth of Heart Quests, Dynamic Events, Personal Stories, and Story Mode dungeons. Level 80 has Fractals, Explorable Mode Dungeons, Living Story, Dynamic Events, Orr, Southsun Cove.
Again should read up what you're talking about before making broad sweeping statements like you did.

also if you want a right number of people try to spend more then 2-3 min then get tiret to count and then say ok that is all.

I don't see what it is unresponsible, Gw2 combat is faster then Tera, but you consider it better then Gw2, strafing is also not hard I can even dodge some ranged attacks only strafing not even using dodge.
you already said you don't like Gw2, its ok the game its not for you, but at least put some facts next time not what you think

Yeah, i find that statement peculiar too cause to finish the quests you have to go to level 70+ zones. I feel some fibbing to prove a point. Kinda sad too. Does anybody ever take a step back and realise we're talking about subjective games here.
Also i've never PVP's in gw2 and i've been playing forever.
That said, GW2 is a great "start" to where mmos should be in terms of game play. Hope is that Wild Star can improve on he concept. wild Star will have player custom dungeons, land u own and can improve, and character paths . Still neither game so far has shown me that there's a decent story behind it. GW2 fails in the story department once you get to the faction story part. The presentation did not feel all that cinematic or personal. the ending encounter was absolutely disappointing and failed to capture the epicness of he situation.
Worst of all, it just didnt have long term effects on my character. Things that happened inside your story feel isolated.

I had done this earlier, I can update these to reflect current data but you can be sure that it has dropped since the last time I pulled these figures, and significantly.
Traffic of Guildwars2.com down 48% from Sept '12 to Dec '12. (Source: comScore)
Traffic of Guildwars2guru.com down 63% from Sept '12 to Dec '12. (Source: comScore)
Traffic of Guildwars2 Subreddit down 62% from Sept '12 to Dec '12. (Source: /r/guildwars2)
200 people in sPvP concurrently during primetime (Source: In Game - Mists)
90% drop in player activity per Xfire from Sept '12 to Dec '12 (Source: Xfire)
Some new ones:
73% drop in sales from Q4 '12 to Q1 '13 (Source: NCSoft Quarterly Report)
50% drop in NCSoft Stock from the day GW2 launched to today (Source: Any stock tracker)
About 6,000 to 8,000 unique vistors to GW2LFG a month.
Moral of the story? It isn't a "growing" MMO by any means it is declining. Mainly because there is nothing to do. Especially with the tough competition coming out this year and next, the future doesn't look bright.
why dont folks use gw2lfg.com as evidence if something is dying or not, i've always wondered. that's how i'd go about it. "We want hard numbers!" they say. well, there ya go.

If you look at traffic data for GW2LFG, they don't get more than 8,000 unique visitors a month. Hardly great by any means.

Go see Neverwinter off peak, or Orgrimmar (yeah still) at least 20 times as much ppl there. Even in the middle of the night there are more ppl in Orgrimmar than a couple of dozen.
the steel shines red with enemy blood. It sings of victory, granted by the gods. And as they return bleeding but proud, the horizon burns and the song is ringing LOUD!
That would be an overflow server i believe. When servers get full they put you in a 'shard' server or something like that. I dunno.
I'm off doing fractals of the mist already lol. Gotta get dem skins.

Per players request during beta.
Death is nothing to us, since when we are, Death has not come, and when death has come, we are not.
It's called PVE culling...unless i run close to the players, they wont render. It's to stop lag from having too many players on your screen. lol.
yes, the reason you see none is because they dont want pc to lag from seeing them all.
whatev.

Out of curiosity and since you DID say you could list 10-15 stats on how badly GW2 failed, could you please list those stats? Also, could you list 10-15 counter points on your favorite MMO of choice on how it greatly succeeds? Thanks buddy!
*edit* : Sources would be great too. We can't have stats based on opinions now can we?
"If I offended you, you needed it" -Corey Taylor
Two problems with that statement. First Neverwinter is brand new, and second Orgrimmar is full of elites with nothing else to do but sit and chat showing off their gear and mounts.

Neverwinter is not action mechanic - you sit in one spot and use skills - how is that action? Tera does have the evade mechanic but it is a plant and use skills too..
I do all the time - don't have issues at all.
I'm sorry I'd rather have a hard game with a few good players than tons of ppl that just bash away on buttons.
the steel shines red with enemy blood. It sings of victory, granted by the gods. And as they return bleeding but proud, the horizon burns and the song is ringing LOUD!
But You and your so called "good players" won't make enough revenue to keep the game up
you mean counting the bots and gold sellers in said generics chinese games? or player base? also considerating these chinese games have what? only one server and GW2 have over 20 200-300 in all severs is a nice number.
also if you want a right number of people try to spend more then 2-3 min then get tiret to count and then say ok that is all.
I don't see what it is unresponsible, Gw2 combat is faster then Tera, but you consider it better then Gw2, strafing is also not hard I can even dodge some ranged attacks only strafing not even using dodge.
you already said you don't like Gw2, its ok the game its not for you, but at least put some facts next time not what you think
why dont folks use gw2lfg.com as evidence if something is dying or not, i've always wondered. that's how i'd go about it. "We want hard numbers!" they say. well, there ya go.
In less than 30 minutes, 155 people have posted LFG on gw2lfg.com. At uh...1030 in the morning. Someone write that down. In a week, do it again. then again. when you numbers going down, boom. proof you looking for.
The Deep Web is sca-ry.
I do not think those words mean what you think they mean.
If you look at traffic data for GW2LFG, they don't get more than 8,000 unique visitors a month. Hardly great by any means.
